I am in the process of searching for a yoga studio in Minneapolis... I am thinking of trying the week-free deals until there are no more to try! (Currently found about 5 lol) Anyone want to go with?! Maybe I'll do a contest with a yoga-date prize ;)

Other than yoga and spin... and SEX.... what other indoor activities can get our blood pumping?

P90x? Lol I tried that ;) I'd rather bundle up and go ride some horses! Ladies, do any of you ZUMBA?

XOXO
Hope everyone has a safe and warm weekend!

Well if you like yoga you will probably like Tia Chi classes.  There are fusion classes that I like which are mixes like cardio with weights or pilates with zumba.  My gym offers spin and yoga classes which are fun as part of fusion offering.  So maybe look into the fused classes and if you like part of it take that full class.  There should be a variety of classes for yoga - hatha etc.

I personally like connecting to Wi-fi watching something on netflix on my tablet and running on treadmill or using an elliptical machine when I am not going to a class.  Makes a 45 minute cardio session go by fast.  Ironically series like breaking bad are about exactly 45 minutes for each episode so one episode and done with cardio.

Oh swimming at least once a week is a good activity inside.

I sit at a desk or am in a car or plane most of the week, so if I didn't get some exercise every day I'd go crazy. I love running outdoors, usually around one of our wonderful lakes in the metro area, but when weather turns cold/icy I move that indoors and augment with other activities. Currently I'm on a 4-day cycle of indoor workouts: Day 1, upper body; Day 2, cardio (running, stair climbing etc.) & core; Day 3, lower body & core; Day 4, cardio (different than Day 2) & core. I never got into yoga but I know many people who swear by it. Instead I do stretching... and get regular massages. ;)

Snowshoeing is fun too, I'm not into yoga or zumba that much these days because the classes get too full and it's cold/flu season too I don't want to be around crowds of people at all so I stick with my solo outdoor activities.

Hey can you send me a private note (when you're bored and don't have anything else to do - LOL) with some info on some good places to go do this (cross country ski--- needs to be a place where I can actually rent the equipment though as I don't have any and I've always wanted to try that).  If I really like it then I'll go buy my own things and then I can go do it anywhere any of the nature centers or places like that around here

I've never done snowshoeing either  and I really want to try that too

I try to stick with my all year strength training plus some cardio.  In the winter snowshoeing and cross country skiing provide great fresh air and cardio. Unfortunately I tend to replace the cardio too often at this time of the year with Christmas cookie tasting. I baked 1500 of them last year. To be sure of good quality control one has to do a fair amount of taste testing.  While it's not stressful, standing for hours can be tiring so I like a good relaxing massage.  As long as it has a happy ending of course. LOL.

I've been just buying gently used equipment over the years because I haven't found anything new that I like or within my budget, I know there are quite a few hiking trails near the Minnesota river valley that are groomed for cross country skiing I like going there a lot.
Also, On the parks & rec site there's tons of locations listed there.
I don't like being cooped up indoors that's for sure !

I have a pile of firewood in need of splitting, and a nice splitting maul that is not too heavy and serves as a good workout tool.
The wood is frozen and it splits easily, so you can look like Wonder Woman splitting those 2ft diameter logs in half with a single swing.
