With all the major chances that have happened on this board in the last 6 months.. One would have to look back and question where things are going?   I have recently heard from a top notch lady that...
The old guard is what made the TC the place to visit..the new guard has made it a place to avoid..right up there with Grand Rapids and Charlotte...
It appears that the current powers to be have no desire for the old guard to be around..what a shame... If you think I am blowing smoke just look at the numbers on Eros and see the lack of top notch Indies and agency girls that are coming to town.. But of course we do still get a little lucky...thank God for AzMstique!!

The "old guard" did a great job cross-promoting the touring girls and keeping them front and center on the boards, so much so infact that the board was weighted too heavy in their favor and "local intrest" was often shouted down.
 Now the local intrest is thriving, and the general hit-counter for visits to the TwinCities board are at an all-time high, but we are missing a healthy "travelers forum" within our community. The whole "old guard" wasn't banned from this board, just one guy, but without leadership, the point-men have lost focus and become less involved. I am hoping that this is only part of the re-building cycle and that a new guard will form to support the touring niche of of the market again.

I bet there has been an industry-wide slowdown in the hobby.  I see that the increase in prices has stopped, and may be showing some sign of reversal.

I think that's part of why thee are fewer travelers coming to the TC.

As far as the old guard, I think we're mostly talking about 1 guy here, right?  While I did appreciate some of his pointman reports, I was also subtly irked by his carnival barker-style pitchman posts.  They were so frequent and transparent that it became obvious that he was getting either freebies, or reduced price lunch tickets in return for his publicity.

Do I know this to be true?  No, I do not, but that is certainly how it appeared to me.

I don't really think there is an industry-wide slowdown.. Pricing will stabilize on it's own! Economics 101 class here!...I see nothing that shows a reversal in trends!.. From what I know of the local market the gals mailboxes and VM are full! At least the women I see… They can pick and choose who they want to see! So why would they reduce there rates!! Don’t see that one coming anytime soon… if there were issues we would see all kinds of discounts!
While a "rebuild" would be nice, it is not too likely since the new guard do not seem to have the same care and concern that the old guard did for the women…The issue here is on the national level… that the guys are unwilling to provide reference material and are pushing the gals for a deal...WTF! Guys the rates are the rates!!.. if you can't afford it then don't play!! Not everyone is a line Ad on TCU!
I will admit that I was a part of the "old guard" and you may not have liked his style even I didn't like it all the time... but we all got benefits from it!!... and now because of all the badgering of the women we are getting a bad rep around the country.. So let’s all buck up here and treat the ladies with the respect that they deserve!

Recession is enroute, my friend, and it will affect providers as well.
I know of at least 1 top shelf, well reviewed provider that has dropped her rate to $250 this late fall/early winter.   Do you not think she would charge 3 bills if she could get it and book up?

Please give some examples of how the so called new guard cares less for the ladies?  Please link to the posts on the national board where provides are pooh poohing the TC area. (perhaps this is so, I don't read the natn'l board often).


I think this board is much the same as it has always been, save for one fewer person's continual posts about this month's new All Time Favorite.

Lastly, I agree that it is bad form to try and negotiate on price with providers, surgeons and tattoo artists.  Likewise, all should be treated with respect, always.

Well I cannot diagree with you fletch,
I would like to at least say, give respect where
respect is due. there are to many providers out
there who jerk us around, be it rates, or
inplied proformance, and then we walk a way with
less than the smile that we should have for the
kind of ching that we are putting out.
As far as old guard goes, well there was more
than one hobbiest that fell silent, due to the
events of the recent past.
And when the information super highway became less
traveled, then the high profle providers who were
coming to town, also pulled back some as well.
Like it or not, we all lost an important and
reliable source of information after due the
hostile, and careless actions of a few.
A long time ago, I pretty much gave up on the
local scene, for the simple fact that most of the
locals, when compared to travelers, fell well short in price and proformance.
And those local providers who deserve the respect
that they have earned. well you are right, they
are so sought after, that they can pick and
chose, and sadly some of us are given the cold
shoulder if we should try to set up a last minute
date. like I say give respect where respect is due. off my soap box, thanks

The old guard, Catherine Spiga, god how I miss her!

I really wanted to meet her... but I stuck my foot in my mouth with her when I was a newbie and blew it!... A hard lesson learned I guess!

I tried at the end but it was tooo late!! You forget  that Katie is my top ATF so I enjoy kicking myself everyday!!! LOL!!!

I am a part time hobbyist who winters in Phoenix.  I never do sohere in my home state as I view the quality of escort as less than Phoenix and the interaction on the Board to be less than positive or helpful, this despite everyone's concerns about Sheriff Joe.  Am I missing somethingby avoiding the scene?  It just appears there are only a few people who regularly contribute here.  Just like Phoenix,  people have agendas, but it seems easier to pick them out.  Is there just a different attitude towards the hobby that makes it a less organized community?  If I get flamed, I will accept the criticism.

I broke into the sceene with the help of the old guard.  Except for one woman that I was Kind of warned about in a very vague way, I've never been steered wrong.  Heck, I got some great advice.  I'm sorry, but I really miss haveing the old one around.  Say what ever you want to about his personality, that's subjective, he was TER's best product for this area.  As far as dinging him for promoteing ladie's, show me one wrong review.  Just one.  You can't.

If the lady is what the point man, or the review describes her to be, we are all alot better off for it.

A lot of bad things happened locally in 2005 and there was bound to be some fallout from it.  It will take time for things to get back to where they were.  Hopefully, everyone will learn some lessons from what happened.  Be polite, respectful, and discrete towards each other and our little community should thrive.

That is a clear sign that our community is getting "healthy" again....

We took alot of damage in 2005, and much of our "structure" on the board had to be "razed" before the re-building could start, but now I think we are well on the way to a TER "community revtalization". It's good to have this solid foundation of experence guys to build on.

Sorry I really don't feel that way at all..

My utilization of the providers locally has subsided exponentially. It ended with Catherine. Why, you ask? Simply put, she made us feel safe to the degree that up to the day she was retiring, she gave sound advice to me on who she reccomended to see that she trusted and didn't bash the ones she didn't. Of course it was a business to her, but we were people with lives outside the hobby whose privacy she respected just like her own. Our time with her was made to be great, like her. With the events of the past months I am one who gets scared to see anyone locally unless she has gotten rave reviews from the masses in the usual areas of looks and performance as well as the intangables. One of those being safety whether phone numbers, or e-mail addresses. Isn't it sad that our locals suffer because of the events of the recent past?  I for one am glad to see the community coming around. It is bringing me back to the hobby and I'm happy for that.

Thanks for remaining consistant on the board through these rough times. This board will only ever be what we make it, I hope more guys will follow your lead in this...

I agree the board is what we make of it..I have always been a firm believer in that….but I just don't see the community coming together much in the months ahead, I hope I’m wrong...I have become comfortable with where I'm at so the board does not do me much good expect to tell people when we have a hottie in town…!!...and it just seems most don't want to listen anyway...so why try...

So I'm part of the "old guard" am I?  Seems funny; I've been around barely two years and I'm a grizzled veteran?!  All I have ever wanted to do was have a good time and find the ladies who understand that and if I can help someone else achieve the same goal and do a little something to keep things on an even keel then so much the better.

So considering that, and that you've posted 525 times, you've certainly done your part... I don't know how much "older" the guard could get for this rather young site.

Funny how yours and mine experiences are so very similar. It just wasn't the the providing that got me hooked but her personability as well. There was a couple of times she let her guard down and she showed me some of her self-doubts and personal pain and it just endeared me to her even more.
