... I think you should make clear the "Provider of the Week" is not necessarily the "Best Provider in Town." Otherwise, I'd just have to put the same name up week after week which gets boring.
I suggest it has to be someone you've seen within the past two or three weeks who gave you a particularly good experience. Or someone who has been absent for a while and just came back on the scene. Or some other reason that this provider is noteworthy in this week. That ought to keep thing a little more interesting, and avoid hurt feelings, also.
TER has instituted a policy that gives registered providers limited FREE TER VIP membership. The method of going about getting this FREE TER VIP membership and all of its benefits, as well as the ability to give a hobbyist a White List referral is as follows:
A provider MUST have her username registered as a provider and tied to her TER Profile and Reviews to receive limited FREE VIP. A provider must have at least one review to become a registered provider; this is because without a review you have no profile.
NOTE: Having this done insures your ads go up much quicker, because the screening process is streamlined.
Check to see if this is already done. Look at one of your messages posted on any discussion board and see if there is a link which say "See my TER reviews" on the line under the subject line to the right of your username. If it's already there, you're registered.
If not, you need to send an email to [email protected] requesting registration as a provider. It is best to send the email from the same email address that is on your TER Profile, as that makes verification easier.
Please make sure to include your TER username, the name on your TER profile, and the TER ID of your profile or a direct link to your TER profile to expedite processing.
Once registered as a provider, you will have access to all of the services below:
1.) You will have access to the Juicy Details/Services Offered/Cost of Services areas of your own reviews (but not other reviews).
2.) Your TER Profile and Reviews will automatically link to every message you submit on any of the discussion boards, making it easy for guys to find you and increasing your exposure.
3.) You have access to the TER Mail/PM (Private Messaging) system. Access to the TER Mail system is a great asset in itself. It allows you to communicate with moderators, staff, hobbyists & other registered providers, without having to search for their email address or other form of contact.
4.) You will be able to give a White List referral to ANY hobbyist member of TER. It doesn't matter if he submitted a review of you or not.
To give someone a White List referral, click on the "reviews" button near the top of the screen, and then select "Search White List" on the left side of the screen. Type in the hobbyists TER username (or his email address if you don't know his username, which may, or may not, match up depending on what email he uses on his TER profile).
Once you find the hobbyist you are looking for, you click on the "Submit Referral Button", which only providers can see. It’s that easy!

Should we keep it going? I find we get a lot of useful shilling here and for good reason. Post your thoughts, ladies and gents.
Thanks,

Yes but with more structure - name in subject, TER link in body, etc... makes it nice and neat.

It can be someone you have seen, want to see, has great board presence or any other reason. Some guys will always put up the same ladies, it's counterproductive, but it happens. It's never supposed to be the "best", just someone who grabs your attention and why.
And would hope that it becomes a (more or less) permanent feature here. The chance to give a shout out to someone or perhaps learn some news in time to use it is good.
Ditto vorlon. Much more timely than waiting for a review which may get posted late or even on another city or state board so no one here sees it while the provider is in town.
Provider of the week? Heck, why don't we have an awards banquet and elect a provider of the year?
What can we call the statuettes though? The Hookies? The Johnies?
I nominate, Belinda, (even though we have never met) She is always a sweetheart on the boards, is well spoken, patient and always tries to help everyone. My runner up would be Anya, another caring and considerate sweetmeat.
Can I get a sponsor or two?
Both types of threads appear designed to help providers get around the "once every seven days" ad posting rules.
They contribute to this board becoming more of a provide ad / social frat board rather a constructive discussion board.
If you noticed the top of that provider of the week thread, many nominations were providers simply shilling for one another rather that hobbyists who had seen these providers in the past week.
On other boards, the men step up and nominate the girls. On this board the men hide away unless to chat about the best bbbj in town or the latest cheap deal on BP. So of course the ladies would be the ones voting for each other. That's how it works on the MN board. Anyway, it will be the same ladies voted for weekly. It will get boring. This board has gotten boring in general. I guess we'll just wait to hear about the latest new bargain from BP, as always...carry on boys.
Unfortunately it looks like your attempt to purchase VIP membership has failed due to your card being declined. Good news is that we have several other payment options that you could try.
We thank you for your purchase!
Membership should be activated shortly. You'll receive notification!
