to talk about this without mentioning who it was. what's the point?
I have been at this a long time and I just had my first double booking mishap with a lady. I emailed her asking for an appt today and she emailed back saying she was booked already but recommended a friend. I emailed that lady after looking at her reviews and got a response shortly after with her available times. A couple minutes later the original lady said she had a last minute cancel and would I be interested to come right away. We confirmed via email and I got directions and I was on my way to that location. I arrived and went inside where another lady met me at the door and I was asked to sit down and my appointment lady came out a few minutes later to tell me her booker/scheduling person didn't realize she was booked already. She offered to let me see another lady but I politely declined and left. She seemed surprised that I didn't want to see someone else. I know I am not alone in this situation - it sucks!! Not sure if I should mention the lady or not. She has great reviews and I am hoping this is not a trend from the past or the future. She is very hot looking and I had been anxious to see her. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later.

giving the name is not an indictment. it was a mistake and the lady can explain and other reviewers can concur or let everyone know it is not an issue. be fair and kind but like a review let others know
I think the lady is less important to him than the double booking story.
Let it be a cautionary tale and leave her out of it.
My guess is the two ladies share the same incall and the setup was designed to generate extra business for the lady who answered the door. Both were counting on you thinking with the little head and following through.
The original lady was always booked, there was no cancellation. The lady who answered the door happened to be around and a discussion was made right after you received a message from the original lady that she was booked. One reason you received a second reply a few minutes later with "I had a last minute cancellation, come over right away."
The excuse that the booker of the original lady didn't know she was booked already is a nice cover story but baloney. My guess is she doesn't even have a booker
I was kind of thinking the same thing at first... but I re-read the original post, and I am not sure this sounds like a bait-and-switch to girl #2. He e-mailed girl #2 asking about times, which would have led girl #1 to assume he was interested in seeing #2, and thus there'd be no need to pull the switch scheme.
I look back on my hobbying exploits, and I can say, with a very, very large sample size, that nothing good comes from seeing an indie who is busy enough to need a booker.
And... I think back to times I had trouble connecting, the meeting times moved, the setup was just complicated--whether by changes, or by double booking, or NCNS... Probably has happened to me 20+ times, and in all that time, there has been one, and ONLY one time where the meeting turned out to be an amazing, memorable experience.
The lesson I have learned is simple: Don't do complicated. Ever. If it gets complicated, move on.

I need my part time assistant, without him I'd never get anything done.
but did he help set up the Christmas tree last holiday season? ![]()
Idk what you're talking about, meaning or if that's even directed at me but those who know me know I'm extremely busy at times with life & know that I don't do holidays also they have no problem with it.
He's been working for me for 3 yrs .

...actually, when I visited yout studio last holiday season, you had a small Christmas tree in the corner... surprised you don't recall that. Not surprised you don't recall me but the tree was right there by the door....
I didn't put it there. I hate holidays with a passion. I remember everyone.

1. They have a busy family/personal life.
2. They have a career
3. To help with organization of email and schedule.
4. They simply do not like that part of the biz.
Having a booker/screener/assistant is not necessarily an indicator of how many clients a lady sees and doesn't need to be synonymous with "complicated". In some cases, having help with your business makes it less complicated, easier to handle, and frees up time for other things outside the hobby.
Excuse me, if I may. The indie who has a screener/booker is not necessarily that BUSY. I will clarify: busy entertaining. Having a lady assist me who I trust immensely with my business matters makes my life easier.
Please keep in mind that the endless emails and screening alone are VERY time-consuming. Having help means the indie lady can have more time to do the things we all do in daily life. It should not be assumed that because a lady has an assistant she is busy entertaining gentlemen day and night.
Consider it.

Ooops, I am pretty sure I stepped on my crank here, LOL.
In retrospect... I agree with what people have said, that having a "personal assistant" to help out with things is not a bad thing. I should put it another way, and again this is based only on my own experience...
There are agencies, and sometimes that works OK. There are total indies, and often, that works OK too. Where I ahve had bad luck is the "agency lite" thing where a few providers band together and share an incall and a booker, I just haven't had good luck with that model. But then again, I haven't been doing "THAT" kind of hobbying for about 6-7 years now, I have been going about it quite a bit differently lately.
.. and one of the times was a "well reviewed" massage provider. It's very maddening when one makes arrangements and drives across town, finds and pays for parking only to be let down. I think it would be nice to know the person was because how many other times has this happened and she hasn't been called on it? Oh, and I did end up seeing her another time, and she didn't live up to the reviews IMHO. I am getting very tired of the lack of objective reviews here, but that is another matter.
Agree with almost everything. Would point out that objectivity is ..... subjective... with regards to this particular variety of service. True for most services....but certainly this one.
