If you dont feel like reading my ramblings better click the back button now before your sucked in. :)

So maybe none of you have noticed but I have been much less active on the boards lately then I was a few months ago.
This is simply because I am trying to avoid this drama that seems to circle me, and every word I write. Im sure this post will be viewed as dramatic by some of you too, but at this point I dont care. I am reaching out because I am at a crossroads.
I have been trying to work on myself, my services, the way I run things, basically every aspect of my occupation, for the last few months. Ive realized that there is a double standard on TER and if I want to avoid being taken the wrong way I should just not adress it.
Well, I have been Khloe for a few years now. I have increased my business, gotten smarter and better at how I run it and had alot more fun doing it!
Heres the problem.. This "reputation" I have still follows...
And this was just brought up on the PO board. I DO NOT want to change my name, persona, etc because I truly feel it is deceptive but what am I supposed to do when I am trying to make myself better and im still slapped in the face with the past? I know it hasnt been that long since my last "dramatic" episode (2 months) but I have become more seious and aware of how I am perceived, and what the popular opinion is of me, which is why I am really working on things..
I am afraid that the impression most of you have is now set in stone and I wont have a new opportunity to change that.
So... I suppose heres my question..
How long do I wait to see if anything changes?
What do I do to change the impression alot of you have?
And, if that doesnt work, is changing my persona maybe the best thing to do? How do I go about it without deceiving?

Thanks for reading the ramblings of someone "at the end of the rope"

I read your post a couple times and it still isn't clear to me what you are trying to change...if there was an "event" or some other drama based episode that took place a while back I guess the only thing we can all do is move on...

I think the best thing to do is ignore it and hold your head high. It says a lot that you would be so bold as to post something like this and make this "perception" of you a topic of conversation. I bet you don't really have the "reputation" you think you do. Sometimes we get ideas in our heads and think everyone is thinking them, when they're really not at all.
These boards are hardly the place that determines your reputation..... In fact, most who see us, do not even know about the discussion boards! Most don't even write reviews or participate at all, except to look at reviews for doing their own quiet research.
I think you are WAAAAY toooo hard on yourself here. Like....OMG.....stop beating yourself up. Do not listen to what a very small number MAYBE has to say about you??? You create your OWN reality. Create it. Don't believe them. IF you think you rock, then YOU ROCK. Honey, get out the of TER gutter here. You are better than this!
A post like this proves what an honest and sweet person you are.

Chin up baby,
Hilary

I don't know your history, Khloe (I'm new to TER in the last year), but I've seen your postings in the last couple of months, and they've looked fun and interesting.  But, I just checked your reviews, and there's only once since November, and it was a poor one.  Have you considered offering a special, and trying to build up some recent reviews that are good?  That might help.

personally, although i have only vague memories of being somewhat bemused by some of the thread about you like the one you mentioned from two months ago, i really don't remember specifics, and i would not avoid seeing you based upon threads on this board.  i would read your reviews, paying more attention to the more recent reviews, and if, as you say, you are now giving a service you are proud of and believe is improved over your past service, i would make a decision to see you based upon recent reviews.  i also believe that there are people who just come to TER to read reviews, not to get lost in the sometimes absurd and cerftainly oftentimes arcane topics that pop up here, so again, continue to do your best, and when someone is happy with their encounter with them, don't be afraid to at least broach a reviews being written about that experience--and an honest exzplanation of why would probably be good as well.  and there are always newbies coming into the game who wouldn't know your past reputation from a hole in the ground.  and again, your honesty and sincerity are refreshing, and brave, and will bring you good things.  thanks for your post.

Stick to being a quality provider and in time the past will fade away but I can't begin to tell you how long that might take.

that she doesn't know what to change!  All is well Khloe. You are awesome and don't need to change a thing. It says a lot when someone actually tries work on themselves and looks within rather than blames outward. It's always good to look within and you will always do well if you approach life that way. Blamers never succeed. We can all learn a lot from you dear!!

A couple of relevant (I hope) thoughts from an old PR guy--
You are your "brand"--better to invest in maintaining existing brand that trying to start a new one.
Number one rule:  first, do good.
The public has short memories.
There's such a thing as "over-communicating." (i.e. don'' call attention to thing you want the public to forget)
"Reputation" is a long game.

From what little I notice around here from following the board and reading reviews, you needn't be too worried about your rep.  You're probably being too hard on yourself/taking things too personal.  it takes a think skin to be in business.

As I recall (and contradict me, anyone, if I remember this incorrectly), but Tifanny Berkshire had a bad rep (I have no idea if it was deserved).  She changed some things, especially posting habits, and it would appear to me that she is now one of the more sought after providers.

It struck me that my suggestion of offering a special might only attract bottom feeders.  So, here's an alternative take on that idea:

There was a discussion on the board a few weeks ago (here or in the GD board) about the ethics/validity of offering a discount for a review.  I'd always thought that this would be a conflict of interest...but many posters made the point that a well-written review takes a reviewer a considerable amount of time--I know they do for me--and that this would be justifiable grounds for offering a discount.

So, why not offer a special for someone who will promise to write a review?  The agreement would have to be that it is a "well-written" and "fair" review, not necessarily a "good" review.  The latter would pose a conflict of interest, it seems to me.  But, if you're doing it in order to get a good review, I cannot imagine that the session would be less than stellar!  :)

Just a thought.......

Those who choose to see you in a negative light are not worth your time.  If you continue to work hard at being professional, you will gain respect and acceptance.  I have learned over time that there will always always be haters.  The important thing is to not become one yourself because of it.

Personally, I would not change your identity.  Eventually, people figure it out anyone and if they want to remember you in a negative way they will.  They will also question why you changed your identity and some will wonder what you are hiding or running from.   I think you should remain being Khloe and Just keep working on improving yourself and your business.

If you need any help with anything at all, PM me.

hugs, Belinda

I am overwhelmed by the (mostly) positive feedback I have recieved on this subject.
I debated for a long time whether or not to post this. I did not want to attract more attention to my "bad rep" or seem dramatic to anyone again but I figured.. TER is supposed to be a resource. Where else would I ask such questions and hear such great feedback and advice then here? And isnt this supposed to be a place all of us can go to to ask questions of fellow hobbyists and providers?
Maybe I have been too hard on myself.. Its just that every now and then someone refers to something in the past, especially recently (last day or so) and it has brought this issue up again in my mind.
I do pride myself on being honest, whether or not thats always the best thing, thats me.
I will continue to take pride in myself and service, and work on improving areas I or others see fit, while staying true to myself.

Thanks again everyone for restoring my faith in TER!

You have an amazing and rare attitude that is hard to find in this hobby. There is a tendency to want to "hide" behind our pics, our reviews, and look HOT. Many girls do not post at all because they like to keep the "mystery" alive.  You have put yourself in a very vulnerable position by posting "shit" about yourself! That is an amazing marketing strategy actually! haha!
I love how REAL you are. Wow, impressive honey!

Khloe,

Just noticed that a "description of yourself" is required on your "Contact" page.  I wonder if that's off-putting to some.  Almost no other provider whose Web site I've seen has that requirement.  You've been in the hobby long enough to know that most hobbyists are not exactly Brad Pitt.  So, does this mean that you will ONLY see Brad Pitt types?  If not, I wonder if that is best left out.

And, for example, P411 does ask some general description questions: I'm recalling age, weight (if 50# over), facial hair, health and smoking. I've personally been asked by email to "tell me more about yourself" before meeting.

It's not uncommon to have a box for "Comments" or "Questions." A number of sites do ask for "More Info" and some get specific, asking about age and race, for example.

I have a hunch this box was more boiler-plate in nature, but if not, I think she's entitled to want to know a little more if it's important to her.

Understood.  "Tell me more about yourself," or comments like that, are fine.  And, yes, of course, ladies are entitled to ask anything they want.

But, Khloe is asking for feedback on why people might be hesitant to see her, and I suggested that this, for some people, might be one factor not in her favor.  Nothing more.  Nothing less.

It will deter if we ask a guy about their looks. Some are insecure about that. I would never ask a man to tell me what he looks like. Looks do not matter to me, it's all about the connection and chemistry. A "Brad Pitt" can be quite annoying and full of himself. It's no fun to be with a narcissist!

That dang website!!
I have laughed at the "description of yourself" since I first saw that someone created a website without my knowing. Its ridiculous!
This website popped up out of nowhere. I received emails that I didn’t know where they were coming from. Then I get one from the company who created the site saying they wanted to eventually set up an appointment but "here is a website for you."
I sent them several emails trying for them to change some of the info, and with no response, to take down the site all together. Have contacted TER about removing it from my profile, nothing. I’ve gone back and forth referencing the site as I do like that all my pictures are there along with contact info, etc, but theres still that nagging "description of yourself"
Oh well I suppose, if there is nothing I can do about it. I am in the works of new pictures and website now, one that doesn’t include this!
On my new ad I wrote description of yourself, but clarified this is more so personality. If you are shy and quiet I like to know that before so I don’t think its because of me! :)

I would contact TER again if you really want it off your profile. Seems odd that they didn't accommodate you the first time. (I don't have any suggestions on where to get a website done, but you would be well served to have one of your own.)

I do know that you're not alone in having unauthorized websites, though.

Anybody ever have any luck getting unauthorized sites shut down?

From what I have heard, whomever is behind these websites (and they are on many profiles these days) don't get permission before putting them up.

Khloe look to the best providers for your answer.  The performance speaks for it self.  Guys would line up around the block for someone who rates a 10 in performance.  If you offer a guys an amazing session and offer passion, fun and really good sex all of the rest of the issues will take care of themselves.
