how often providers on the first meeting ask if a client is married or about the marriage and hobbying.  
In 20+ years, it seem extraordinarily common.

If a client is married (as I am), my impression is that it is better to affirm a good relationship with one's spouse  
   despite a sexually incomplete marriage than to  

speak oo the spouse negatively.

90% of us are married or are in a relationship. Relax.

My experience has been that I can not remember ever being asked if I was married.  

...and a few would come right out and ask why I'm seeing her then at that point.  Simple answer, I see a pretty gal and I want to bang her.  The slightly more complex answer would have been that the provider may be bringing more to the table that the SO was willing too.  It was rare that there was any judgement displayed by the provider however.  For the most part, I took it was a person trying to understand her customer(s).
