There are many people here who walked into the room with anxiety  depression .  I have PTSD and abuse history myself .  I do NOT think negativity should be the norm .  

avoid places (like this) where open dialogue is supposed to be valued and encouraged. Perhaps you should seek out a chat forum that is not oriented around adult topics if that's what sets off your PTSD.

If you don't like it stop reading it then it's that fucking simple. Other people mite like to read it. Just because you don't crawl back into you're safe space. What you think is offensive or inappropriate other people mite not.

between reading to understand and reading to reply.  debauchedB had some pretty good things to say.  I doubt you read that to understand it, instead working on your reply before you'd even gotten to the second paragraph.  

before you dare post, take a shower...brush and floss, swish with mouthwash.  Reconsider posting.  Go back and pluck stray hairs.  Did you forget to put on deodorant?  Go back and put it on.  Why not floss and brush again.  Mouthwash also won't be a bad idea...

To everyone and no one in particular: All of us that have liked this post and Debauched from above see that discussion, opinion expression and asshole comments can all occur without personal attacks or, more importantly, comment. Not every post requires the same folks to chime in with a comment. Not everything you read that you disagree with requires your comment. If a person is dick to you, no need to reply in kind because they have revealed themselves to the group as a dick. Get out of the way of assholes and let them go do their thing. If they insult you, it's from a person of no importance, so let it go. They are legends in the their own minds and you can let them maintain their private reality. "ignore" works really well for chronic abusers if you are incapable of not clicking on their posts. IF you are hell bent to be mean back, then ignore them. High Conflict Personalities (HCPs) thrive on your continued attention and willingness to affirm their relevance. Their greatest fear is to be ignored or publically irrelevant. So instead of arguing, ignore. It was so peaceful for a while when the HCPs were without an audience. Now it's too late to shove the shit back into the horse. We need to just let it lay there and dry up and blow away.  

I have occasional posts blocked.  The explanation is always given under My TER, My Board Posts.  You can even get a copy of your post if you want to re-edit it and post again with the offending stuff taken out

Even at the times this board has been at its most civil, there's still been a lot of debate and disputes.  If you want a place where everyone is going to get along, this isn't it.
