If your screening info is good......then the last time I looked, there are over 2,000 providers available from which you can select.  If you are being clandestine with your info and screenability....then perhaps you're looking in the wrong place?  What you seek is not THAT difficult if you're for real.

Seriously, I find it tough many times to get responses and sometimes you need to cast a wide net to get an acceptable pool that is willing to respond, then make your decision. Considerate well thought out phone calls or emails also seem key.

Frankly, you don't really need references to meet a provider in this town. If your only information about escorts comes from the women who post on TER, then you would think that every woman requires references. NOT TRUE. Of the thousands of escorts and massage therapists in Minneapolis, only a handful require references. That is their choice, but most don't. I have hobbied for 30 years, with 50 reviews under a former screen name, and have never given a reference.  
I am not saying there is anything wrong with providing references, or the women who require that, I am only saying that there are about 1,990 escorts out there who don't need them.
Just pick up the back pages and start calling.

You DO provide references!  They come by virtue of the reviews that you've written.  You may have a point if you don't give your target provider your TER handle.  This one has you with 14 reviews.  More than sufficient to check out your butt.  LOL

Still you're right.  I've come to realize that many providers do not require references.  In my opinion, one seeing a hobbyist without references spells obvious danger for both parties.  In light of recent events, even if a hobbyist does have  references........then WOW if true.

To me not asking for a reference is like playing Russian Roulette, but hey, everyone plays their own game.

I need to feel safe before opening the door to a stranger who could be a criminal or LE.  If there are girls that don't ask for references, please see them first so that you'll have a reference when you want to see me.

Most of the providers in the cities are friends, and are reference friendly, so what is the big deal?

For me, being safe is the responsible thing to do.

As best I can tell, their screening consists of making a judgment on the guy based on how he sounds on the phone.

Those girls that are crazy enough to see you without checking first are down right crazy, no punt inteaded to those, as I don't care to look at whom they were, but what u probably don't know if that they looked up your ter name, checked who you saw and called her to ask. If they didn't, well, I guess the economy is that bad that people are THAT desperate! I haven't been around for weeks, then to read that comment, scares the crp out of me! Glad I refuse to even respond to guys that are to LAZY to include references, let alone their name or phone number.  Can you blame a person?  This board gets more and more like CL every day.  Where in the world are all the normal guys? I'd sure like to know!!

You are very correct.  I have seen about 20 ladies in the last 3 years and none have screened me.  Based on this I am very unlikely to even bother going thru a screening process.

Most of the normal guys are afaraid to post because they are jumped all over by mean spirited crabby people.

Most don't ask for references.  For those that do ask most don't verify (call up /email ).  And surprise, surprise the service level provided by the providers who request and verify isn't any better than those who don't.

It's not about the service.

It's about our safety.

Everyone handles their "business" differently.

I don't care how they do theirs.

I screen so I will know you aren't going to harm me, or put pretty silver bracelets on me.

You are TOTALLY missing the point when you're talking about level of service provided by those that verify.

I bet the provider that got busted (the one that the post was about) wishes she had verified.

I understand being cautious and don't disagree that it's a smart thing to do, but thank goodness not ALL providers require them. Otherwise, NO ONE would be able to get into the hobby.

There are alternative ways to verify a gentleman.

I am just trying to establish that yes, indeed, you are whom you say you are.
