SW begging for money on Twitter

So I'm not gonna bring up the overcharging opinion that I have when it comes to workers but someone needs to explain to me why we have sex workers who are charging 600 bucks plus an hour are on Twitter begging for money because of car Issues or other inconveniences. If they're getting clients paying these outrageous prices,  they should have more than enough money to pay for things. If they get one client a day, they making more money than me and I know how to budget my money.

Maybe at six hundred she is not getting the one a day or maybe a week. Think many out there has their ego/pride telling them they are worth as much as X
Not looking back but seem to remember a forty something @ $300 or about that who with one good review fill all appointments and gather many confirming reviews. I have read on this board that she is usually booked before she heads back here .
This also says this site works!!

I've seen some asking for money so they can go out to eat.  But they aren't the only ones who can spend as fast as they earn.

Did they blow an engine that is going to cost $10K+ in repairs?  If they Tweeted this request for money, please share as it’s public information.

Are drug addict or some other shit like gambling, mental issues, etc.  Some hoes are being pimped by others and can only keep very little or none.

It is weird; I get some of that thru my Twitter, but here is the weirdest one. I follow a specific SW and never liked or commented after her. One day I got a message from her; she said something like, "I see that you follow me" and "I need some money for my kid and me, for rent, food, and living expenses."

I looked at her timeline, and she asks that a lot. I just told her no.

I have never done that. And most of my SW friends have not, but it's true that some people in general have a hard time managing money.

It's smart to check their history and see if they ask this a lot. I feel like this would not be a good long term money management scheme lol.

.Unlike other commenters on here, most of us are not drug addicts or have pimps. We're just regular people who have issues sometimes.

Of course we have to distinguish between the honestly broke and those who fake it for sympathy grifting.
.
But I think those who are really broke aren't getting a lot of $600 clients.  I could publish a rate of $10k per hour, but if I get no takers I'd have no money.
.
I don't think lack of budgeting skills is their fundamental problem.  They are probably lacking in rationality all together.  I've seen this pattern of alienation from their families, drama at every turn, no lasting friendships (because drama and mooching), inability to hold a job (because drama, tardiness, AWOL, bad attitude), psychological issues and frequent homelessness.
.
Sadly giving them money merely moves them forward a day or two, and right back to the same situation.

This one provider that would always beg called DaniDD. I think she even scammed some other SWers too.

Pretty much everyone likes being given things.  It's just that some people seem to spend every penny they make practically as soon as they make it, if not sooner.  And some know how to budget and plan for the future.

I have made comments about this also and was shot down for saying I was "rate shaming". No, I am not. This is a business. You can be hot as hell and think you can charge twice that amount but if you are providing a sub par service you are not going to get booked. I despise haggling my rates so I charge what I charge that I think is affordable to most, I try to provide a consist service, and even being in the middle of no where I am seldom not booked when I am available. If you are short on cash then offer a special or reduce your rates. And yes, it does seem to be the same ones on twitter that seems to never have enough money for rent or their cell phone bill.

I want to introduce myself.  My provider name is Rhea Moore.  I do have reviews on this site, although the profile info is inaccurate and outdated, I haven't been able to change it due to ter admin inadequacy.  I have been in this industry for 15 years.

I have no addictions.  I have good credit, three separate bank accounts.  One for bills.  One for savings. One for taxes.  I've always rented because I don't want to settle in Minnesota.  But Minnesota has been good to me.  Because, more than being a provider, I also have a BA in Creative & Professional Writing, a certified license to practice massage, and level II Reike.  Mainly due to the RELATIONSHIPS I have fostered in this community.  This Community.  We "hobbyists and providers" used to have real actual community.

I know it's hard to comprehend actual connection in our jaded separated world today, but there was a time when our "gents" actually truly CARED about the providers they sought out.

But there is a quote that keeps running through my head:  "We are always 1000. away from being homeless"
I can't remember where I heard this quote.  But it is a tape running through my head.

You can look on my website and see the rates.  And you can assume that is who I am, what my income is.  Fine.  But what you don't know is that i'm also a single mom of two beautiful daughters who have grown up to be ...... spectacular of course.  And I am a grandmother of two unique, incredible, other worldly awesome humans.  My heart.  My heart.  My heart.

I am not just my rates.  I am not just my hourly... so called .... income.

All of my money... doesn't matter how much I make... is funneled into the happiness of my children and grandchildren.  I don't get to KEEP the money I make.  It is spent before I make it.  And what if in one month, I lose my apartment, my vehicle, and then my beloved daughter gets into a car accident (rear ended by an uninsured driver) and then I have to file my taxes.  Of course I OWE!

I'm not trying to justify the scammers.  But I'm trying to say, WE ARE A COMMUNITY!  Built on trust and mutual taking care of each other.  Please try to look for the humanity in a person going onto their twitter community and ASKING for help.  Sometimes people need to reach out.

You see numbers.  But a parent might see something else, if only they look.

One night a provider friend and I were eating a late casual dinner, joined then by two others and it was raucous fun. Later, one of them mentioned a friend in trouble and we all chipped in and at the end of the evening went round to her place to deliver the gift. It was a great night.
On the other hand there have been the hustles and the rip offs... but evenings like that more than make up for them.

According to your profile/reviews it sounds like you are a hard working provider and reasonably priced.  If you come into hard times, you should have the blessing of everyone on this forum to request help on social media.  That said, if you were also still advertising $600 for an hour of fun like the example mentioned(which I don’t believe to be true), I would tell you to get lost.

who was in the massage biz years ago and it did not matter how much she made, boyfriend, Mom everybody took it because nobody worked a job so they were always broke. She was very generous but never had a bank account or any money as a result.

Yeah, sad some families people are born into.   Not too uncommon in this biz to run into such types.  No family support, as they are all broke, homeless, can't or won't hold a job, etc.

Just Thank you for such thoughtful and respectful responses.  IJMiggs, thank you for looking at my reviews, actually putting in the time to be aware of who you're responding to.

And Lockstock, I know.... I'm a hopeless optimist.  I long for community in these days of so much separation.

But you two really make my day.  Thank you.
