That area downtown is safe. I spend a lot of time there. National attention and distortions about happenings there, have made things sound much worse than they are. As long as the feds leave us alone, things are good.

Hyatt is a great choice.. Nice hotel, Great places to eat in walking distance..

I appreciate both messages and I am glad that my favorite place and area is still a great place to stay while I am in town. I did hear some bad things during all the stuff happening with ICE and how it was bad there but I am glad to here it is still pretty safe and its close to everything. I use to walk to the Target eat at Ichibans [if that is still there] and shop while I had some time to myself.  

I’ll be the one to break it to you Ichiband is gone and replaced by Roxie’s Cabaret

Awe man.. Sad but I am always down to try something new and exciting so I cant to see how Roxie's Cabaret is like

I haven’t made it in yet, but it’s high on my list.

Roxie’s isn’t my bag, but I’ve heard it’s well run and in a better area compared to the 90s. They also have a diner in the same building that’s one of the rare 24/7 places left here.  

Thank you. I did love going to the 90's when I lived there, but its been over 13yrs since I have been back home. Like I said I did stay at the Hyatt all the time when I did travel back home to either just for a visit or tour but I never needed a key to access the elevator or anything of that nature, but then again not sure how much that has changed since its been a while since I've been back.
