Have a good appetite for the hobby, and a good business   Do not sell or operate within durable goods, sell perishable, and necessary goods.  Not an absolute rule, but it works for me.

$500 is nothing.  Check out LA, DC, NY.  Remember Heidi Fleisch?  The LA madame busted in the early 90s,  her girls were getting a minimum of $1000 a session and that was over 15 yrs ago.  Eliot Spitzer was paying $3000 a session on a $90000 a yr salary state salary.

Work hard..play hard. That's my philosophy and so far it's been working good.

I don't consider myself a "High Roller", but a guy that likes to have fun and is blessed with the resources to help fuel it.  My personal philosophy about this hobby is the same as gambling...only spend  what you can afford to lose.   That way there is no guilt or regret.

Even through this current economic turmoil there are some silver linings.  My company set a record for profitability in 2008, which will get smashed in 2009 and the forecast for 2010 is even higher.  I keep my regular pay separate from my annual bonus, as I take my bonus monies and use that for my "play" activities, e.g. this hobby, golf and gambling etc.  I usually splurge on a few UTR models and actresses and then just budget the remaining amount through the rest of the year until the next bonus arrives.

Worse case, I recommend working smarter, not necessary harder and it never hurts to have some additional higher education on the old resume.

Oh by the way...I did see Bobbie earlier this month and she was worth every dime of her donation.

I have spent over $100,000 this year on this hobby.  It can get very expensive, you have to pay to play, and I play a lot.
