Anyone care to chime in on why they seek companionship/sex and why you got started in this endeavor?  

My story:  Came to a mid-life crisis... at least I didn't buy a corvette.  I ask this question often when meeting new gent's.  The most popular response is "I've been married 20 years to the same woman, and sex is non-existent"

I've also been pondering a way to bring some fun into the marriage.  It would be such a kick to show a man's wife what I've learned after 100's of bj's.  I picture myself inserting a dildo into my mouth while your wife follows my lead.  Fun way to bring a lil fantasy play into the marriage and give yourself a threesome without your wife feeling threatened.  Hmmm, business card logo's? hehe

I would have chosen both but that wasn't an option.  As for why I am doing this, well I don't have an SO and have no imminent prospects of getting one but I still desire feminine companionship and sex in the interim.
