information I am willing to share during the scheduling process. Not all providers are forthcoming about their use of schedulers.

This topic has not been discussed much in public forums but it has been talked about often via back channels.

I feel that it is entirely understandable why some providers utilize the services of assistants.

For example, a traveling provider related to me the many hours she spent late at night until early in the morning shifting through the volume of e-mail messages she received just that day while she was touring.

Additionally, some providers face unique communication concerns (e.g., fluent English skills) necessitating some level of assistance for meetings.

However, the simpler aspects of communication (e.g., screening and meeting location) should be reserved for an assistant.

Detailed communications regarding sessions and after-session messages should be handled by the provider.

Generally, providers tend to utilize assistants that were actually former escorts. Thus, an expectation exists that the screening and communication aspects of meetings should be handled very professionally.

Note:  It is sometimes interesting to view profiles on Preferred411 that a hobbyist knows are really controlled by another provider. Recently, a veteran (retired) Minneapolis provider was assisting a young lady from a South American country. When the veteran provider was on-line, the assisted lady's profile was also on-line (perhaps one minute apart).

Note:  Generally, it is fine if the communications are handled by another female. How would a hobbyist feel if the provider's assistant was actually a male?

Speaking of assistants being males. I have first hand knowledge that's the case
For MANY of the uptown body rub girls. I thought it was amusing when some of the guys would send " dick pics"
Not knowing who they were sending it to. I also thought it was appalling this man would conversate and set up the appointments AS the women herself. It sure allows for many misunderstandings, and makes you wonder if your actually "connecting"with your massage girl or the man who "assits" her.

Very good information!

After I wrote my message, I thought about the "male" aspect of the communication process.

Humor:  In light of the "Minnesota Nice Guys" experience, it can be assumed that hobbyists in Minnesota do not care who is communicating with them as long as they get some form of discount!

In any event, I believe most hobbyists would be tentative for a session (knowingly) booked by a male assistant due to the concern that the provider was being actively managed.

I dont think its mandatory to mention it in ads..
But in first contact email I make it clear that
My name is (( Assistant Name )) , I am (( so and so's )) Assistant.
And i'll be happy to help you with the scheduling process..

Ive worked as a PA for providers for 4+ years
And because of my background as a part time provider,
Im very good at making clients feel comfortable ,,
I think its going to become more common for providers to have assistants..

For FT providers it can be difficult to screen, book, post ads answer calls, and take clients ,, and you dont want to miss calls while you are in an appointment, so having an extra set of hands can be valuable when it comes to maximizing your time management,, and the more time you are able to spend in appointments and less time answering calls and emails,, its more profitable..

One of the approaches I dont like , that ive seen used is when Assistants act like the provider..
So the client thinks they are talking to the provider when they are not,,
Ive had providers ask me to do that and I wont,
We want clients to be honest about their info so we can screen them properly for safety reasons and I think its contradictory to misrepresent yourself to clients ..

Although there are numerous inherent benefits for a provider to utilize the services of an assistant, I feel that most providers do not like to relinquish control over their operations (along with the additional fees to be paid to an assistant).

However, I do feel that an assistant looking for new clients could present a persuasive argument for her services if she can substantiate (i.e., quantify with solid numbers) how her expertise has added (rather than subtracted) from previous client's bottom-lines.

Story:  It has been very rare in my hobby history to deal with assistants. The one instance that I dealt with a provider's assistant exclusively prior to the meeting almost begged a token of appreciation. I gave the provider after the meeting a small envelope with a Victoria's Secret gift card so that she could reward the assistant for her services. The initial reaction on the provider's face indicated that she may not forward the gift card information. However, I later receive a nice thank-you note from the assistant for the gift card.

ive had the opportunity to work with some amazing women,,
and just like any other busy professional the more time you get to spend focused on the clients and less on the admin side the better..

Between, answering emails , phonecalls , booking tours, placing ads, updating websites, flights, hotels, you can miss calls, miss emails or double book..

When clients are "shopping" the sooner you can get back to them the better, and while a provider is "busy" its good to know someone is taking care of their clients in a friendly and professional manner ..

Ive also worked for Hobbyists as well, helping with reservations, arranging dates, reservations, travel, etc..

I think its valuable in the aspect that professionals whether they be hobbyists or providers can get overwhelmed and it always good to know that you have an extra set of hands to help and someone that always has your back

...over the years. I have no problem with PAs and I think they should be upfront about it. A smart man knows that if he flirts with the gatekeeper, only good things will ensue. ;)

bravo cat! I agree with your whole post. when communicating, just identify yourself as an asst. no problem there at all.  I'm usually impressed by professionalism, which reflects positively on the provider. thanks for your post.

I do not think I will Ever have an assistant ..
Just not my thing...
to each is own

I can be quite busy and maybe overwhelmed at times but I do like knowing all communication that has gone into the planning of the date ... Plus I love the personal touch you get knowing you are communicating with me as I assume most of you do too. This also allows me to make last minute appt for my regulars or those already verified and make last minute changes to my schedule if needed.

So for now I am on my own and like it this way but there are days I dream I had an assistant :)

Except when I'm dealing with a massage or FS agency, I strongly dislike the assistant thing. I find direct dialog with the actual provider to be helpful, sexy, educational, and most of the time ... delicious.

For me, it's a an important and highly anticipated part of the whole experience. IMO

I think it is perfectly fine if an escort uses an assistant but please be open about it.

Especially when working with local ladies..

And this next statement is not meant to offend hobbyists..
But sometimes I dont think you understand how crazy a providers day can be..
Hobbyists can and are fickle and are most of the time looking for an immediate response..
That's not possible if a provider has a full day of bookings,,

I understand the wanting to be personally in contact with the provider, but for a busy provider, they would rather have someone with a friendly and personable disposition get back to you than not having the time to get back to you at all,, and for your top ladies, not getting back to an inquiry in a prompt and timely manner can cost you appointments and money,, so assistants maximize that ,, especially when a provider gets overwhelemed with client requests thats when the issue of double bookings can happen,,
its not something that should be taken personally if its an assistant getting back to you ,, quite the contrary, that provider feels that every email and phone call is answered therefore because clients are important and has employed someone to address that so that you dont feel like you were left out in the cold..

A good example is a high volume provider who sees multiple clients per day..
That lovely lady makes sure she looks like a super model for each appointment and sometimes only gives herself 30 minutes in between to do so.. Touring can be downright chaotic..
getting to the airport on time so you can get thourhg TSA stuff so you get to your plane on time, checking in on time, taking appointments till the late evening early am and then hoping on a flight to the next city with little to no sleep and needing to be on game by the time that first client walks through the door..

But while that provider is working,, im not only making sure calls and emails are answered in a prompt and timely manner,, client services, animal sitting , dropping off or picking up the dry cleaning , checking the mail , cleaning the house, doing laundry, sometimes menu planning and food prep, scheduling non provider stuff, picking up the kids from school , event planning, driver, taxi, personal security, photo proofinf and editing, content writer, ad development, research assistant, networking, marketing and business development, shoulder to lean on and sometimes cry on ..
sometimes on longer tours, Im asked to accompany so I can run errands for said provider while they are working, social attache, makeup artist and stylist, personal shopper, concierge services  ..

Alot of the assistants that clients talk to are more like Admin Assistants,, and im more than that..
Im an ally and my job is to see to the safety, security, well-being, and health of the providers I work for .. I take care of all the other stuff so that they can be 100% focused on you the client :)

The last couple of your paragraphs almost make you sound like the personal assistants that movie stars and celebrities use to manage their personal affairs.

Generally, the vast majority of providers that I have met are loners and tight with their earnings.

In order to combat the feelings of loneliness while traveling, providers might form a friendship (or alliance) with a fellow provider as they each visit the same cities.

In order to hold onto their hard-won earnings, providers tend to attempt to do it all in order to minimize their cash outlays.

Although significant benefits can be gained with the use of a personal assistant, it is still a quite rare arrangement within the hobby.

Actually I beg to differ,, there are alot of providers who utilize Personal Assistants.. its far more more common than you think it is... More so with industry professionals who tour and travel alot ,,

In the adult entertainment industry, the hobby community is a relatively small piece in comparison and therefore as a hobbyist, you may not run into as much .. Plus there are alot of high income Providers who operate outside the review community, because they deal with clients who wish to keep their affairs more discreet.. All Hobbyists are clients, but not all clients are hobbyists ..
Sex industry professionals are CEO's who run businesses , not just Providers, but encompass a wider spectrum from Massage ladies to Porn Stars and everything in between..

And they are just like any busy professional who juggles a crazy schedule that would have a Admin Assistant, Personal Secretary or Assistant.

~Ca

Given the degree of attention that a sex industry professional may demand (or need) while they are touring, how does a personal assistant to more than one provider disengage from commitments to their other clients while they assist the sex industry professional?

Example:  Dr. Conrad Murray (of Michael Jackson fame) closed his Nevada medical practice down within a week of being hired by Jackson. The job of assisting Jackson was of such financial importance to Murray that all of his current clients were left to find assistance from other medical professionals.

Are sex industry professionals accepting of a personal assistant's need to help his (or her's) other clients rather than have all of the attention focused on their needs?

That is entirely dependent on the Assistant and how much load they can carry and juggle..
I prefer to establish long term Assistant Clients so I never carry more than 2 dedicated clients at any given time at which point if I get another request  to do just emailing and screening, I do have admin services which can be done remotely,, and can be done no matter where I am at,
As long as I have my ipad, and cellphone, I can work on the go..
But 2 FT and 1 Pt is my max and ive never run into any issues where the ladies I work for feel neglected.

In regards to other PA's it all depends on the services they offer that helps determine their client workload..

how about just saying your looking for (name from add). enough said!

MANY, MANY of the girls (not all) who use email for scheduling are using an "assistant."  Again, I agree that  using one is their right. I knew one girl who used one who was doing over 30 sessions a week. She didn't have time NOT to have one.

BUT, BUT the ones I'm aware of (not all) did NOT identify themselves as assistants nor in the ads did they make it clear that an assistant was the first one you'd likely be communicating with.  Also the assistant I was aware of is a male, but (he) knows how to give a sexy and sweet aura to the communications...not my cup of tea, sorry.

I agree with Vorlon.  Run your business the way you'd like, but if you're going to use an assistant, make it plain up front.

FWIW I also believe that the "assistant" was sampling and writing reviews on many of the gals.
