When you travel with anyone it's very different than spending a few hours together. You need to know each other well and have developed a connection. The longer the trip the stronger the connection should be.
You are going to spend much more time together; best to be confident both of you are comfortable enough with each other to enjoy that. Otherwise it could easily end up being an unpleasant experience.
