Wondering if any of you fine ladies and gentlemen have any recommendations for companies that modify residential property to become handicap accessible? Not being local, I'm having a terrible time finding a decent priced, reliable, honest company that can start working relatively soon and be done in a reasonable amount of time. Due to some complications from surgery, my family member is now handicap and their home is no where near suitable for their needs. Moving is not an option, they own their home and have lived there for 30+ years. I've been adjusting my schedule to stay in MN and help out as much as I can, but honestly, I'm missing my own home something serious. Any leads/recommendations are very much appreciated and I welcome all ideas. You can either pm, reply here, or email me direct with any helpful knowledge you may have in this area. Thank you all so very much for your time and I thank you in advance for your help. Passionate kisses, Sadie
That government agencies, social workers etc....know absolutely NOTHING about this because they don't live it. I have re-modeled my home extensively, using advice from local contractors and my own common sense. Trial and error....and a shit load of money. The cost is outrageous....you say handicapped accessible and it's a license to steal. I have emailed you along with my number. Feel free to call anytime.
Thanks to all who responded here, sent me pm's and emails. You all are so sweet and helpful. It's been a whirlwind of a week for me and haven't been able to respond to all of you, but I promise to personally reply to and thank each & everyone of you!
