Many times a pic a lady uses on an ad might also be one she's used on FB, Twitter or any number of more personal non-hobby related sites.

Myself I just leave well enough alone.. But, sometimes it can lead to other providers in their friends lists.

FB, school, with friends of friends,  Why do a thing there is absolutely no upside

1. I recently saw a provider that I think I met some time ago on Match.com and who I met for dinner.  If it wasn't her then it was her sister.

2. Saw a profile on Match.com and also came across an ad on BP and the photos were of the same woman.  I don't think the profile or the ad were fake.  To me, it just confirmed that people have real lives outside of whatever they do to pay the bills.

3. Emailed an ad, no reviews so I asked if she could provide the names of other women that she worked with for references.  Email back to me was from an semi-established provider who said it was her turn to be the scheduler and gave me her TER name and number to vouch for the newbie.  Unfortunately she responded to my email from her cell phone which gave me her cell number and her real name.  I emailed her back to ask if she was aware of the information she had just given out - and she wasn't.  Said they were trying out a new system and she asked that I delete the email string, which I did, but not before doing a Google search.
