As a long time hobbyist I feel fortunate that we have so many options. A virtual smorgasbord of ladies to choose from with literally something to satisfy every mans unique tastes. But that always leaves me wondering how satisfied or fortunate the ladies feel about the men that choose to see them. I know that most of you wonderful ladies are happy to see men of all ages, shapes, sizes and colors... But... What is the average hobbyist?
I know the average man in the U.S. is 30-39 years old, is 5 foot 9 inches tall, is slightly over-weight and has roughly a 39 inch waist. But is that the average hobbyist or are we typically above or below the norm? I know you ladies love us all but I'm looking for honest feedback on what the average hobbyist is like. Let's just say I'm an inquisitive guy who enjoys doing anthropological research. And considering you ladies don't really get to choose who decides to see you, how often are you pleasantly surprised when a tall, dark and handsome man comes walking through your door? I just can't help but wonder if sometimes we hobbyist don't give you ladies the short end of the stick.

I have wondered this myself.. I wonder if all us Johns look alike.. haha I doubt many ladies will answer with fear of hurting us fat fucks feelings 
Hey thanks for confirming that I am not the only one that wonders. But hey, I suspect all us hobbyist are pretty comfortable in our skin and I am really just trying to start a conversation that the ladies will participate in.
Have you ever laid on top of a fat fuck and just relaxed while he strokes your back? Holy hell I'll take that any day over some hard-ass youngun' who only talks about the gym.

I've been to a few but I don't know if those who attend M&Gs are a representative sample of your average Hobbyist or not but it can be an eye opener.
I have never been to a M&G so I have less of a clue than you. And you may be right that the setting of a M&G is not representative of the norm anyway. That's why I was hoping the ladies would chime in. Some might blow sunshine about how we are all tall, dark and handsome men in our own special ways but I suspect that when talking in generalities, some of the ladies will give honest and insightful replies.
I'd say we are older and heavier than the average U.S. male simply because being a hobbyist simply because we are less likely to be able to hook up with hot, younger civvie women but more likely to be able to afford to hobby.
there really is no typical or average. I've met so many different types of gentlemen over the years - from younger to older, taller to shorter, heavier to very fit. There's always something innately attractive in just about every man as far as I'm concerned. I've known some who were tall, dark and handsome yet not the most pleasant. I've met some who were incredibly handsome as well as quite charming. I've met quiet, shy, studious types who were dynamic lovers and surprised the heck out of me, some who were younger but mature and delightful, others who were older yet childish and obnoxious. And all the exact opposites and everything in between! Looks are so subjective and there is almost always something appealing about someone that has little or nothing to do with their physical appearance. In the vast scheme of things what it boils down to isn't so much how you look - it's are you neat and clean? Are you well-groomed and do you practice good hygiene? Are you respectful, honest, kind, thoughtful and generally a pleasant person? These are the people who impress me.
There are as many different stories and reasons for why gentlemen engage in this activity as there are those who do. I've heard everything under the sun. It's opened my eyes and given me a very good education in human nature and also broadened my perspective and helped me to be more understanding and less judgmental in life overall. At the end of the day we're only human and this is an avocation that is highly personal and intimate so connections aren't always made - there isn't always chemistry. Regardless, I feel pretty fortunate to have met some nice people - a few who don't participate anymore, yet are still friends and keep in touch after many years. I'd consider a lot of the people I've met far from average and pretty darn special. Others have gone on their merry way and that's okay too! C'est la vie!

I loved reading your reply which in my thinking is right in line with what I learned when I was younger (which was more than a little bit ago). I always believed that for men sex is external and therefore a much more physical act but for women sex is internal and therefore a much more emotional act. That's why I lived by the adage that a woman's largest erogenous zone was her brain! (followed closely by her lips of course) Seduce her mind and her body will follow! Those are words I lived by and might even apply to the hobby! Haha

They come in all shapes, sizes, colors, temperaments, personalities, and life experiences.
Beautiful providers have already said, Francesca really gets in depth & might also enlighten you guys on why many gals don't even try...how do you category such variety, right.
All I can add is- it's my experience the average height is 5'9" and the average hair color is gray to some degree.
As a provider, my entire outlook on what I find attractive has changed....some might say it evolved, but w/me, my opinion changes & grows as I do.
Good looking to me equates: cleanliness, open minded-ness, respectful treatment of a variety of people & ideas, &
upbeat positive attitude's are super sexXy,
Consideration of my body, personality & me in general, are major turn on's too.
IMHO.....
Here's some examples of ugly: Making me feel like I have to list my daily itinerary each time I end our visit, when it's already run well over.
And....
Intentionally forgetting those hearing aids when you've scheduled 2+ hours of my time, or even worse- pretending like you heard me...just say 'what' after all you...maybe...really would wannna hear what I have to say....maybe lol you never know
Basically being nice over-rules & outlasts good physicality every-time........for me.

The replies have been perfect and I wasn't just talking about physical attributes or "looks". That's why I said "what the average hobbyist is like" and not what the average hobbyist looks like. What I take away from the responses so far is that no matter what we may look like, every one of us guys still has the ability to be the most attractive man in the world to the ladies that we chose to see. Or as Jim Carrey put it... "So you're telling me there's a chance!"

It is nice to see a thread without someone saying mean things. Francesca is a truly beautiful woman and I thank her for her honest answer.
Maybe we can attract the ladies back to this board if we all strive to behave like gentlemen.
... there's been almost no "meanness" on this board for nearly two months. It's really been pleasant here over the holidays and into the new year.
And it helps when ladies make contributions like the ones in this thread from Francesca and others. It would be great to see more providers stopping in here regularly, and more Gentleman Hobbyists also.
When I started, it was like an unorganized potluck. Years later, my attitudes and personality is out there enough to have this be my CURRENT average hobbyist:
Most of them prioritize affection and connection over cumming. I have many clients that do not feel deprived if they don't cum but love the slow tease, the kisses, the words more than anything. Most clients aren't interested in just having a physical spank bank memory. My average clients are probably upper middle class and pretty down to earth.
I have plenty of great clients that are the outliers, but I am speaking for my average.
