After reviewing and thinking about Thunmderroadrun's recent posts, I too have decided to retire. To my friends with who I have shared PMs, I have cancelled my membership, and am unable to recieve and reply.
It turned out that Thunderroadrun was using several different usernames, and was trying to cause trouble. He made up stuff to complain about, accusing TER of being racist, and ranting against people using aliases, which was both hypocritical and ironic.
Thunderroadrun, Brownstreet, WhosJohnGalt, Providerofchoice (which he used to pretend he was a provider), and Chaska (I might have forgotten one or two) were all the same person. I believe all of those usernames were banned by Staff after the discovery of Thunderroadrun's multiple identities.
Sadly, there are people in the world who thrive on causing other people worry and pain. Take care.
This is ONE post of mine, said a little tongue-in-cheek, but still, I thought the guy(s) made some stirring discussions......as opposed to your posting history - By looking back across your efforts on the board it becomes clear that you are a complaining ass, that offers little here but criticism and complaint in a low-brow manner. Of course, your welcome to do that......If that's what pops your rocks! It's the culmination of ALL your posts that define you! - Try to enjoy something in life - Then post about it in a positive way, I just want to know if you even can, or is your world so sad and dark that the only thing that brightens is is disagreement and fault-finding? You could tell he felt some real conflict about being in the hobby. He wrote some of the best posts and some of the stupidest posts. What was interesting is that without technology, it would be difficult to put all those posts to together. Each one sounded like a different person. Even the ones written as a provider sounded very convincing.
The retirement announcements were sincere. However, since the hobby is as addivctive as crack cocaine, I kept falling off the wagon. I'd then invent a new name. I finally started being as outrageous as possible to commit suicide by cop and get banned.
I'm sorry this took away from niceguy34's moment. He deserved his time in the sun.
I had many, but not all figured out - And I liked most of your guys - It was fun to watch the monolithic thinkers take you to task on the National board! - Normally, I like to jump right in the middle of a good war of words, but you were more fun just to sit back and watch - I for one enjoyed your time here (except early on when I thought you were a cop!) - We both "suffer" from a simular passion of this lifestyle, but from our positions on hobby topics - we're as different as Yin and Yang! --now go take care of your family, before your kids grow up and fall prey to this life, either as an insatiable hobbiest - because he lacked the guidence of a father, or a needy 18yr. old girl, trading selling herself to a guy like me, because her dad spent her college fund chasing his lusts - and she just wants to pay for school.....someday.
