starting at 9:15 this AM I have left messages with 5 providers to hopefully set an appointment for this afternoon, i had also e-mailed two providers last week-   guess what-  Zero responses so far.

Let me guess, a high percentage of those messages you  left were local providers.  This is just another reason why more loacl guys are drifting towards travelers.  If you made those same 5 calls to an agency, I would say you would have 5 appts by now.

I can only guess that most of the frustration is coming from the locals...

Everyone knows this is an OLD subject that has been hashed out before. I'm sure what I am about to say has also been said many times before. Please do not lump all of the local gals in to one group. I for now do not think of all the local guys are the same. You can not expect the gals to be sitting by the phone waiting just for your call. Unless the girls who are from out of town have every minute planned they could have more available time on their hands than those of us who are living here. You have to also remember all of us have different aspects of our lives we need to juggle in order to see someone.

My most memorable times have been with local independents but, due to the limited windows of opportunity that I have, I have been relying more on agencies. The locals are more of a hit and miss and, more often than not, I am cancelled at the last minute. I tend to think of this as not enough competition for the providers in this area

I think the locals (the best ones) try hard to book and keep appointments. Some also have other obligations, like picking kids up from day care. I appreciate their efforts.

The travelers are in town for one reason, and one reason only, and that is to do business. It stands to reason their scheduling may be more regimented and accessible.

There are good reasons to patronize both. If it's a shorter-term time window, it may be more reliable to contact the agent of the traveler and put something together.

Sorry to hear that you are having a hard time with getting response back from providers.  I try to respond to any emails that I get.  

I been getting calls, set up an appointment and then they do not show or call back to cancel.  So I understand your frustration.

Hang in there and please keep giving us locals a chance.

The only reason it appears that visiting ladies are a better bet is because there are no good local agencies.  The Twin Cities is primarily an independent market.  It comes down to the difference between full-time agancy girls and independents who do not have someone booking things for them, and are more often than not doing this part-time.  So there you have it - girls booking back to back 4 - 10 guys a day, and those booking 1 or 2 a day.  Supply and demand laws dictate very limited availability.  
But then thats just my opinion

and most of us know who they are and work with them around their schedules and its well worth the time and effort.
