Its a conversation starter..
I love planning extravagant events,, and this time of year is always good for a "lets all get dressed up, look beautiful and have fun" type of shindig.. and I see "community" events going on in other cities and the community is so active here. And im kind of jealous, cause some of the party listings I've seen on other boards for other cities look like they will be alot of fun..

Im newer , so Im curious as to what the hesitation is here to plan events?

But do not post any details on any public forum. Dates and locations should only be shared with verified party goers.
Remember, LE is watching and they don't care if it is nothing more than a holiday party.

Late in the summer we planned a evening boat party to celebrate summer and also do a M&G.  I spent many hours in planning and had the date, a charter boat and even security for the event...what happened?  Somebody on the confirmed invite list told LE.  The next thing we knew, LE was calling charter companies asking about a cruise for prostitutes (the cruise was booked in the name of one of my companies and the charter boat company was owned by a friend of mine who warned me that LE was calling all the charter companies).  Anyway, we had over 50 men and 45 woman on the list and ALL they knew was the date and time, because I was going to have them meet off site from the boat and shuttle them to the boarding site.  NO one knew the boarding site in advance, hence LE calling the charter companies trying to figure it out.  It did  tip us off and we were able to cancel.  I went to great lengths to make it a safe secure outing, but had to cancel at the last minute.  Yes, we have an active hobby here, but  also have several LE units that are active (including here on TER, that is a FACT) so any mention of a event is going to find its way to LE.  I shudder to think what would have happened this summer if LE had reporters out on Lake Minnetonka to record our little party.

If anyone else wants to try again, well have at it....but be fkn careful and count me out!

…...in the boat party attempt there was NEVER a public post of the time and date (unless you count the Provider Only Board and that was only ladies looking to carpool).  All communication about this event was thru PM here on TER and yet because one person gave LE the details, we were shut down.

The math starts to work against you at some point.  And I suspect you got on LE's radar when the idea was first posted; at that point all it took was one person getting some kind of pressure from LE and the cat was out of the bag.

Thats a bummer. Why not justify the adult entertainment by paying them a performance fee. You can pay to see a musician sing, and if she brings you to the back to fuck your brains out - that is just consenting sex.

notice in other cities, big ones where LE has time to focus on other things, they don't even mention the exact area the event will be held, let alone the exact place. small, suburban Minnetonka LE have nothing else to do but sit at the lake the entire month of August until they see local ladies who look similar to their pictures...busted.

Yeah....I seem to remember a few of the Vikings doing something similar on Minnetonka and look at how that worked out.

And that is why I will not participate in M&G's here. Its way too easy for it to get ruined by one big mouth.

....Maybe many of you don't know but Lake Minnetonka is one of the largest lakes in the state, 14,000 acres, 27 sq miles of water and 125 miles of shoreline encompassing 11 cities and towns, 16 distinct bays and sections of lake and numerous charter companies.  So the general idea that LE would simply watch the lake for the ladies the entire month of August was NOT the problem.  We did find out for a FACT that one individual was the source for LE.  Remember the date and time as well as location on that big lake with several charter pick up points was never put on this board.  fyi.  The whole point is this...how are you going to schedule a M&G, just PM everyone randomly?  Logistically, how are you going to do it?  That's the question that is begged by what happened.  As Vorlon wrote, as long as you have someone who for whatever reason will share the info they receive privately with LE, it is a problem.  In many locales, we are not on the radar, here, unfortunately, we are.

"the event will be held on one of our 10,000 lakes." would suffice.
this suggested is for anyone considering hosting a party in the future.

.....but does not address the real problem...the snitch who cooperates, that is the real danger to any organized event and  that IS what happened to our cruise!

The Vikings problem was the boat crew was not in what the entertainment was going to be.
Everyone involved needs to know what is being planned, and be on board.  (Whether they partake themselves or not).

....The reference to the Vikings in which several football players hired strippers to party on a boat is NOT even close to what we planned.  It was intended to be an M&G, a social outing with ladies and gentlemen for drinks, dinner and nice summer evening cruise, no playtime, period.
