I am making my first trip to Minneapolis soon and don't know the lay of the land.  
I def want to spend a couple of days Downtown, and then it looks like Bloomington is
a good area to visit?
Can you help me out with this?

Hi....

If you are looking at Bloomington probably the Mall of America area is the best.  LLight rail is right there to get you  to downtown Minneapolis

The light rail will take you to Nicollet Mall. If you stay near there, there is a lot to do with in walking distance and you are easy to get to.

Anywhere is good but just know that Bloomington Hotels have a reputation for being sticklers on "our kind".  Just as a little heads up
