Good point, this may actually be a case where you're better off taking one of those un-named gift/cash cards.  Once the transaction clears, it's a done deal.  Since the person with the card has no "relationship" with a bank, there's no one for them to call to contest a charge.  Those kinds of cards really are just a cash substitute.

I had not even considered that aspect of it. Never disputed a charge but wouldn't your full name be disclosed to the provide when the charge is disputed?

Yes and now watch all the guys line up with them . Does anyone honestly have time to call and check the balance every single time someone gives you that instead of their donation?

Some ladies will accept Visa Gift Cards, which can be purchased with a credit card at select locations. You would need to call locations that sell Visa Gift Cards to be sure they let you purchase them with credit cards.
