Geez LIghten up everyone!! My point was that many times mean comments come from aliases....and isnt that the reason people get so upset with them to begin with?? Im just very blunt in my approach to life! :)
If everyone would just be nice, we wouldnt need the aliases! Why do we need to hide?  It seems cowardly! Am I right?
That's what I dont understand. Be real!! :)  
And if posting on this board equals too much time on one hands, then we are ALL at fault.

Note the repeated emphasis on fun, creative and philanthropic behaviors that appears throughout the list. Nowhere on that list do scolding, chiding or noodging make any appearance. If anyone feels strongly a post is out of order, that is exactly what the Report This Post button is for. The rest of us don't have to read it and I haven't heard any suggestion that posts are blindly deleted just because there's been a report. Did I miss it?

dd42's claim these Boards are no longer moderated is silly. The Boards are moderated far more heavily now than they used to be. It's just nuclear. Catfights  get started and then they are gone. It's more obvious over in the GD Board where the real whack jobs used to hang out, but it has happened here and recently. If the administration was worried about a shill thread starting a few minutes early, they know exactly how to handle it.

So you folks go ahead and stay on track. I've got popcorn and a big glass of sody pop.

And Hil, doll, I love you madly, but admin has spoken and the Boards are going to be a more civil place. A couple of the replies were mocking me, certainly, but they were mocking me politely and decorously.  And I am retorting politely and decorously. I'd really hate to lose your lovely voice in this board. Really.

So, maybe I was right?  The entire shill for xxxxx (my edit) has mysteriously disappeared.  I wonder why?  

I guess Im'm not so fucking stupid after all.  My post was not mean or nasty- just pointed out board etiquette.  I said nothing derogatory about xxx at all.

What I said was if we had the old moderators on board, the thread would not have been up for as long as it was.  I didn't say we weren't moderated.  Just that it wasn't the same.


And this reason is from TER's "Acceptable Alias Use"


"Posting investigative reports, meet & greet announcements, helpful advice, or other similar types of useful information where the use of a user-name could prove problematic or open the poster up to incessant PM's and questions."

It would be so refreshing if reactionaries like you would read the actual post without the knee-jerk reaction.

Anonymity for when regional or associational sensitivities may be of concern, particularly when there are members out there who will harass you on the boards when you disagree strongly with them.


Innocuous playing of "devils advocate" in a discussion or debate where one wishes to not be further/future aligned with one faction or the other.  If you look at the GD Board, there are providers who have flat out stated that they won't see someone based on some of their posts.  Why would any guy take the chance.



Avoidance of suffering political fallout for a comment that may have been wrongly construed in a possibly volatile discussion.  Some of these regular posters are hyper-sensitive, and also don't read the whole post before going ballistic.

say anything mean or nasty about any provider,  He may have wanted to, but refrains himself.  He respects the ladies as they use their stage names and we know who they are(not real names).

Why the big problem with aliases?  What difference does it make to you?  

Are you the new alias police?  Is minn4evr your real name? Or an alias?

doggie daddy is just wondering.
