Looks like this little gotham Needs a new Batman.
Any nominations?
Not to be difficult but I don't understand what you are asking.

the text of the post was asking for "nominations" so I wondered if something else might be going on.
Can I be Robin? I like to wear a mask and tights!

Sorry Guys.... We have been getting a lot of complaints from the twin cities message board and I was researching it. In jest I made the comment, "Looks like gothem might need a new batman."
My recently FORMER personal assistant (TER Username browneyedgirl) took it upon herself to make that post. Don't worry, GND is still the BIC.

P.S. Anyone looking for a job? The hours suck, pay sucks, and your boss is a grueling slave master ![]()
on this board and the national board?
If the can't put in time, then then can't do the
whine.
With my apologies to Baretta.
But, all I can get is "moderated" just for asking!
Here's my vision for board control:
1] Unmoderate everyone! Then sort out the problem children that want to fight for no other than to fight, and start "re-moderating" them. I think many would respect the ability to post in real time enough to keep it!
2] check in on the board only once a day and put out fires or extend warnings to those who can't play nice in the sand box - ON THE BOARD! not just secretly delete peoples posts before they ever show up!
3] Protect those that just want to share useful info about the hobby with the comunity from too much flaming - Notice the key words there are "useful" and "hobby" - "TER" is not the hobby! Hobbiests finding the girl of their dreams is the hobby! Not posting hit and run quips under 50 different aliases! (I would also expose the handle behind an alias to the whole community if someone were just hiding behind it to fight!
4] "Heat" so to speak, is an important part of seperating fact from fiction! I think that we SHOULD be allowed to turn it up on someone for the purposes of refining a viewpoint and sniffing out lies that could lead others astray.
5] I believe that a moderator should represent the "client" in all matters first and formost. (that would be the one who PAYS!) and at the same time, protect those who come here to offer their wares on the open market - an important part of the board is the ability to offer and accept invites, and generate self-intrest. Nothing wrong with self-promotion!
6a] And finally, the moderator should NOT position themselves ABOVE the VIP members! if anything, being a moderator is a service oriented position, keeping it a fun place to visit! It doesn't take long for this to become more trouble than it's worth - The internet is a big and endless place, and when someone takes the time to participate in a forum that you are the steward over, make them feel welcome, and wanted!
6b] I also believe the moderator should not be someone who is feared by people who would otherwise rise up and speak out, but don't because they fear their posts won't show up, or they will be taken off unmoderated status and the efforts they have invested in their handle and board identity will be wasted.
6c] A moderator should also be willing to roll in the mud a little too, and have some VERY thick skin - no one is above reproach or should be beyond the reach of the members of the forum.
IMO, TC is a rogue board, and this sherriff wants to get outta Dodge.
I've always thought that members should police their own boards in their own local style, but the TC way is beyond my sensibilities. I'm a pretty easy-going California girl who is way tired of all the drama that happens on the TC board.
So, Staff and I were thinkin' of maybe having two local mods for this board, and to let you all fight it out amongst yourselves. How about MDL and BenDover? That would be fun.
Joking aside, I am concerned about the safety and privacy of members who post on this board. Moderators can see information that they generally are NOT supposed to share with others. They can see your IP and DNS, and they can see who's been posting as whom. Stuff you might not want certain people to know.
So, choose your moderators wisely. Good luck, and let me know what you come up with.
