I like what Shaggy said too.  Girls in this busienss should NEVER do things unprotected, we are with too many guys, and you can NEVER tell just by looking at someone if they have an STD or not.  Going to the clinic for regular check-ups is a great idea, yes, more should do it. BUT, if you are having unprotected sex (which oral IS sex), going to the clinic doesn't mean that you aren't going to catch something. We go to the clinic to make sure we don't already have something. The ONLY sure way to be safe is to ALWAYS wrap it.

Would someone with a medical background explain what, if any, undesirables could a receiver catch from a BBBJ?

you can definitely get things, but first thing is:
What are both party's general level of health/immune system's like? How quickly afterwards did the person clean up, and with what?  i know several folks who got stuff from bbbj's although it is generally rare.

There are a myriad of STD's that are transmissable by BBBJ, you can start with gonorrhea, if you look up the mode of transmission and the high contagion qualities of that bug, you will perhaps think twice about a provider offering BBBJ.  A search through STD's on the net gives you a glimpse of the rampant nature of spread with some of the bugs.

Its a buzz kill and often brings home the dangerous side of the hobby.  If in doubt, take cover.

If I was a hobbyist, I'd be more concerned about giving oral gratification than getting.  If in doubt, use a cover.

I've been an escort for 3 years now.  If you read my reviews, you'll probably see that I take some risks.  Every time a lady comes in contact with a man, or visa versa, they take risks.

I get frequent tests at the Red Door.  I wish everyone did for their own piece of mind.

I have never caught a disease.  Is it due to good oral hygiene, am I just lucky?  Is it that because we're on the net and not on the streets that we aren't getting these diseases?   There are so many questions not yet answered about transmission via oral sex.  Mainly due to the inability to closely monitor those in base studies.  They do know however that STD's are more dangerous with uncovered anal or vaginal sex than oral.

TER ran a poll and I was surprised at how many hobbyists said they'd contacted a disease.  It would be nice to differentiate in a poll how many contacted a disease from a provider and not out at a frat party 20 years ago.

Below is a link to a query I ran on the CDC site.  I ask hobbyists to go get checked at the Red Door for their own sake as well as the hobby as a whole.  Not enough hobbyists ask me how often I get checked.  As a matter of fact, I can't remember the last time I was asked.

If you do venture to the Red Door, they don't check ID, but remember the information you gave them or you won't be able to get your results.  Also, go as early as you can to avoid long waits.

For results on CDC, perform a search "STD oral sex"

Both should be wrapped during oral. Also, significant others equate into this.

Do you know where your spouse is LOL.  Seriously, we all take risks everyday.  If you are concerned, don't do it.
