It seems if a provider gets a score shes not happy with, it's so easy for her to just PM TERsupport and say it's a fake.  Reviews are FOR THE GUYS (or gals) to do research on who they want to see. Reviews shouldnt always be about a popularity contest to get to the top. Unfortunately it seems thats what it has become.....It seems sooo easy to cheat your way there. Any bad review (or anything other than a 9 or a 10) gets removed. It just doesnt seem honest anymore.....

I tend to distrust that "backdoor" or "secret" type of stuff, anyway--thinking that providers can send an email to TER administration and get a review removed because they didn't like it. I am aware that reviews impact business.   But, the discussion boards are the forum for providers to make known their disagreements with reviews.  And really, this reminds me that reviews are fiction, and i think the tendency is sometimes to reify them as if they were the divinely revealed truth of the great god EROS!

Hillary pressured a removal of one of my reviews of her several years ago that -- OMG! -- gave her a 7 for performance, claiming that it was fake, when it was not.  She had had a bad day, it was a so-so experience for me, and I didn't pull punches in the review.   The notion that someone would deliberately sabotage a generally well-reviewed provider is pretty far-fetched.  But the notion that a generally well-reviewed provider might have "off" days is totally likely and also totally human and foregiveable.  One now-retired provider, who generally scored in the 9 - 10 range, once told me, "I like it when I get an occasional low score.  It makes me more believable."

Hard to imagine that every session you have ever had has been "perfect" or that every bad review you have received is "fake."

I am curious how many sessions over the course of your career have been less than "perfect" and how often have you discouraged clients from writing reviews of these sessions in order to protect your "reputation."

In some of the subjectively scored Olympic sports, pun intended, there are multiple judges - and the high AND low scores are automatically eliminated to counter the effects of bias or mistake. I think a lot of controversy could be eliminated by allowing providers the option of throwing out one high and one low review (but they'd have to do both) from time to time (perhaps once for every 25-30 reviews or so).

(And in defense of the sparkly one, if she were the type to cry "Fake!" the Sep-2011 7/5 review wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes.)

True, my friend, they probably spend next to NO time on any TER board. It's all about the math. Hard for us humans to grasp, but obvious to the AI machines who do the work in in billionths of a second.

Before all of the "garbage" started here, I honestly didn't see it getting out of hand and even PM'd Hil with a question and my opinion on the matter.  Upon further review,  however - while I happen to agree with her,  I think that her original post sort of set the table for what transpired.  Maybe Hilary isn't at liberty to discuss "the rest of the story" (if there is one) but when you make a blanket statement like that, without any context - well, you see what happens.  Obviously some people here have LONG memories, but I didn't think that HonestBrokers reply (at least) was necessarily inflammatory or accusatory.  It's hard to see the original exchange now with all of the replies, but it seemed as if he/she was just pointing out that perhaps there are a LOT of fake reviews here.  And I think we all know that there are.  As far as the REST of the thread is concerned, who the hell knows.  There could have been some good discussion on the topic, but apparently we can't do that here.  MN's board has been this way for seemingly ever.

People use aliases for a lot of reasons.  I'd venture a guess that some people don't want to get on someone's "naughty list" by expressing their opinion.  Heck, as someone who wishes to see Hilary again, I thought about using one here, but since I'm just (trying, anyway) to give honest, constructive feedback - I decided to post under my "real" fake identity. That review wasn't fake. Hilary acknowledged that the 7/5 review was for a session that actually took place.   The low scores were due to the fact that the reviewer was a smoker - which she hates.  But to your point - the review has not been mysteriously removed - it's still there!

This thread really sprawled away from the OP. I think the point regardless of who made it is a good one. Being that it's expensive to hobby I want to know the reality of the provider even if they have an off day. It's hard enough to weed through the ads and reviews to then have to think if someones thumb is on the scale. AND as someone else pointed out, this would effect the OP as well so I don't see any reason to question her past history. AND to save you some time I've only been white listed by her. I would like to say....I have had 3 reviews removed. One recently that I presumed to be QUITE fake. And also, one back in the day......the day when I was an IDIOT and saw gents out of my home.....can you say GREEEEEEN???? Number 2 reveiw removed was NOT his fault! He was accutrate in speaking of being at my home, and spoke accordingy....well, it freaked me out. And ever since then, Ive been careful about my friends coming over, especially if they write reviews.......but Craigslist comes to my home ALL the time now....he came to my daughter's grad party! He even fixes my toilet and other plumbing when it goes haywire! Thanks CL!! (hey baby, I have a towel rack that came undone!! help!!!!)
Another review I had removed about 4 years ago.......It stated that I had a PIMP smoking a cig....outside my hotel room door!!  Ummm.....hello?? FAKEahhhh!!!
Then about 1.5 years ago, I had a review written by a well meaning man who siad I "didnt smell fresh down there" .....UGH! The ultimate embarrassment!! But hey, Im human. Shucks.
Ok well HE got lamblasted by the GUYS!! I asked him to edit that PART ONLY (about my SMELL) darn. The guys were FREAKING out....the reveiwer himself had THAT REVIEW REMOVED because of the silly drama that ensued!
Im all about integrity and honesty. My usual approach to someone NOT satisfied is "Hey!, lets have a DO OVER!!!" and also, "Im so sorry we didnt connect, BUT I reccommend Jillian or Eizabith as they will BLOW you away!!"...I TRY to connect with everyone, but Im not perfect...... BUT I DO GUARANTEE myself....always!!

My point was....many reviews are deleted becuz gals dont like the SCORE. Simple as that. It affects their ranking on the "top 100". That is cheating. I have had reviews removed, YES. Yes, back in my day, I had more "off" days. I do not anymore. If I do, I dont see people. Ive learned. Hey, there's a HELLUVA BIG learning curve in this business. It is hard at times to fuck all the Toms, Dicks, and Harrys. Ask any provider.....it is very hard sometimes. We do our best and then get reviewed for the world to see.

There is a difference between a provider disputing a review because it is fake or not truthful and disputing it because she doesn't like what's in it because it is not so good.  Obviously, for us here there is no good way to know the truth of why a review was pulled.  But to criticize Hilary for saying she thinks it should be harder for providers to get review pulled just because they don't lie them makes no sense to me.  I think we would all agree with that idea (unless you are a provider who tries to get every less than review pulled).  I don't see any reason for this simple post of hers to have ended up as such a train wreck of a thread.

This was definitely a misunderstood post. I was certainly surprised to see the craziness that ensued when I logged in today! My post was not meant to mean that we should NEVER have reviews pulled. My post was meant to say that there SHOULD be stricter gulidelines, as gals can get reviews pulled just based on a score they dont like.
