Confirming

When you book a session in advance, do you like a call or message the morning of the appointment to confirm? Say for a noon appointment? And if you are a hobbyist, do you contact the provider the day of your meeting to confirm?

I feel much more at ease when I get a confirmation call, or email the morning of a pre-booked session. So many things can come up prior to the scheduled appt. time. Also, in the event something happens & a gent is unable to make it, I will have time to rearrange my schedule & all is not lost.

Unless I've seen the provider multiple times, a quiet phone gives me pause.  And I don't
mean multiple calls....just one call or text to confirm we're both still good to go.

rather than waiting for my clients to confirm. I confirm via TEXT the morning of the appt.  That way they can feel secure, knowing that I will be there as promised. I think that any legitimate business contacts the clients to confirm, rather than waiting for the clients themselves to confirm.

I typically send a text or call when I have been on the road for about two hours (half the trip). I appreciate a message from my date telling me she will be waiting for me. Never to be repeated is a date where she would not give me her number and would call me instead. I try to get the general area ahead of time as there can be up to an hour drive from 694 to home base.

after managing upscale salons/spas for many years, my employees heard it from me every single day...confirm, confirm, confirm! Have some down time?  Have you confirmed your appointments for tomorrow (or the next day?)  Sort of a taskmaster I guess!  ;-)  I found that our clients appreciated it and it is just part of good customer service.

I usually confirm the day before with an e-mail, and with a phone call the day of, usually when I'm on my way or else almost there.

especially if I am renting a room.   If it's a no-go,  I do not want to spend money on hotel rooms, fresh fruit, drinks, etc.

I like to confirm the day before.  I always err on the side of over-communication.  It's a respect and courtesy thing for me.

The night before and the day of.

I always like to touch base the day of (and maybe earlier as well depending on far in advance things were scheduled).  It helps me feel more confident that everything is still on rack and if there is a problem I find out about it sooner.

But sometimes I get sidetracked so its nice if a Hobbyist confirms with me so im not to forget our arrangements.

I hope this helps both providers and hobbyists. To me, confirming an appointment the night before, but always the morning of the appointment is common sense.

I am typically in active email contact up until the point of the "date."  I like to confirm the morning of, and I always call one hour before and/or as I am leaving out the door.  I did that once, and I had missed an email cancellation (I hate gmail, lol), so glad I called before I started out on a long drive.

I agree confirming the morning of by the provider and the client both is well needed!!  It avoids all the ugly unfortunate mistakes
