Power lines burned through and power is out in the lawless Third Precinct. Second off the street kidnapping reported tonight.

Pimps looking for new stock? Be careful out there ladies.

It's wise to conceal and carry if you're permitted. People were walking around my neighborhood threatening to rob people in broad daylight just this morning. Travel in a group if you have to be out and about and make sure someone in that group is trained to avoid conflict and/ or understands the four pillars of gun safety/ home defense. Being robbed may not be life threatening, but being kidnapped or assaulted in a way that could result in death is another story. All you're required to do is say: "Stop. Get away." Then make a quick, critical decision based on the training you received to obtain that permit. I'm not joking. Thanks for the "heads-up" regarding kidnapping reports.

It would take too much time to secure a permit in the midst of this crisis, but open carry is legal and an option for all non-felons in the state.

Unless you are in one of the liberal bastions like Austin, in the rest of the state it's just assumed that you have the right to protect yourself, and enough of the population is armed to deter street thugs from taking the chance of becoming the victim instead of the perp if they choose the wrong person to attempt to rob. Except in the very worst neighborhoods our streets are still safe to walk.

I do feel for you people swept up in something not of your own making, hopefully justice will be done in the George Floyd case and tensions will hopefully subside.

Excellent point. Hopefully things will get back to normal and hobbying can resume in the city. In the meantime, maybe consider hosting in the safer suburbs?  In any case, with the arrest of Chauvin happening today, here’s to hoping peace comes to the city soon.

stay away from lake lyndale and lake hennepin. stay very very far away!!!!!

One unfortunate female victim said to be in her 30's was found murdered in the back seat of a car abandoned in the middle of the street in North Minneapolis on early Friday morning.
