I've hobbied for 20+ years on a fairly regular basis.  During that span I must admit that I have truly met some outstanding women.  Beautiful, sexy, fun, good conversationilists, intelligent and accomodating would describe the majority I've met.  Along the way I've had a few duds and walked away asking myself "why" and telling myself what a waste.  I suspect +70% of them are single mothers, just trying to make it.  I appreciate that and since I always hold myself to being a gentleman, they have a soft spot in my heart.  I would imagine over my career there's probably been a few who I could have actually seen myself in a long term relationship, if either of one of us were the long relationship type.
But recently, (the past year or so) I have noticed a change in provider behavior that alarms me.  For the record, I do not live in the Cities.  The providers I have seen as of late are local ladies, travelers coming through the area, or a Twin Cities lady that i could convince to visit.  I know many of you advocate being a VIP member, which I have been from time to time, but due to so few providers being available in my area I dropped it, plus many of the providers in my area don't get reviewed to begin with.
So what's changed you ask?  I believe there are more scammers out there than ever before and I'm basing that on statistical experience.  A year ago I agreed to meet with a lady advertising on our BP section.  Secured a room and waited for her arrival.  Monitoring the window and the peephole of the door, I saw her show up with a an "associate".  She came into the room but from the "git go" was figidty.  Made some excuse that she had to leave the room and as she left, her associate barged in with gun in hand and before I knew it I was robbed and candidly scared shitless.  I'll never forget something though.  There was a hotel employee standing near the "associate" and since the hotel requires a room card for entry to the property, I suspect the employee was in on it as well.  I said then and there "I'm out of this hobby".  Of course I returned but I have vowed to never see anyone at that hotel again unless I have seen them prior.
A couple of months ago I see another provider that advertises fairly regularly on BP.  She actually is reviewed on BP with decent reviews.  Her incall is her private residence.  Somewhat reluctantly I show up and as she shows me in I see a man sleeping n the couch.  She tells me not to worry it's just her brother.  We get going and as sooon as I finish pleasuring her, she excuses herself to leave the room.  I'm waiting and begin to hear some commotion in the outer room.  Then I hear what I believe to be a two way radio and I think "shit, the cops are here". Probably was a scanner turned on for affect.  As I'm 2/3 dressed, a large black man comes in the room and simply says "time for you to leave".  I'm out of there like a track star.
Two weeks ago I try another rendez vous with another BP provider because that's are only source.  We agree to meet at 2PM and she gives me directions to the hotel.  I decide to leave early so I can stake out the scene.  Convienent since it's next door to another hotel.  We're texting back and forth pretty regularily when she asks me if we can push back to 2:30 because I prior client is still there.  She's basically been texting me the whole time which leads me to believe there was no client.  Just about 2:20 I see this car pull up with two "thugs" in it.  They're randomly parked in the lot.  Then I see a woman walk to the hotel that basically fits the description of who I was to meet.  Ironically she texts me almost immediately that she is ready while the whole time I never saw a client leave.  Another hotel which requires a key to get in so she tells me what door to meet her at for entrance.  Convienently near where the thugs are parked.  I ease my car up to that location and the thugs drive off slowly but never leave the premises.  Something doesn't feel right and I leave.  She's texting me frequently asking me where I am.  I told her it didn't feel right.  She even entices me to knock $50 off and gives me her room number and tells me to come on up now or anytime if I change my mind.
TER family, here's my advice as a 20 year veteran of the hobby.  If you're Spidey senses tell you it's not right, trust them it probably isn't.  While I know the potential to be scammed and harmed has always existed in this hobby, I've just witnessed it way more often, generally a couple shithead guys using a complying woman to make a mark like me.  Where are the grand honorable women of yester-year!  Tempatation will probably always cause me to investigate but I'm way more cautious and if I meet a good honorable provider I'll stick with her like glue.

If I'm reading this correctly, you're in some location where all you can get are BP providers.  You state, "Two weeks ago I try another rendez vous with another BP provider because that's are only source."  I think you mean "because that's OUR only source."

Geez, didn't think my post would be so carefully edited by a couple of English Majors.  I meant "our" and TER not BP.  Sorry for the confusion.

Check out the provider carefully and completely.  If anything does not look right, STOP!  It's not worth the risk.  There are some good providers on BP.  But there is also a lot a "trash".

Agreed. TER is well worth the $$$. Even though I don't actively post here (or have posted reviews), I still use it regularly to research and have had great experiences. I've met some great ladies.  Invest in the premium account. Worth your weight in gold, hobby-wise...

Since you understand there worth and value them yourself when checking out providers?

That would help others out.  Beyond that I would suggest at this point that you pony up for VIP.  I don't all the details of your situation obviously but you might find it a better strategy to wait until you have the opportunity to come to the TCs and see someone then.

You're pretty naive not to know that, many, many hobbyists use TER who never write reviews or post messages

Yes, I imagine the game has chanced since 1993 - Al Gore had just been sworn in as VP and hadn't invented the internet yet. Maybe your cabbie or concierge gave you great advice. As to me, my first experience via Eros 7 years ago was a scam. I've been tricked two more time. I have to admit I saw both coming, but their pictures were too hot that I thought what the heck, maybe it's for real.
