I just don't get it!
Many of these ladies go to the time and expense (I assume it's not free) to advertise whether it be on Eros,TCU or some other board and then fail to answer their phones or Email. Where's the sense in that?

My guess is that it revolves around just how much they view it as a business, versus:

a) A part-time hobby that is used to pick up some spare change every now and then, or

b) Sole source of support, but with a bit of contempt for their customers (or potential customers), or

c) Strong client flow without a need for new business, but they want to maintain some public image "just in case."
