Ok, now that we have taken care of all the issues of price and privacy and beat the old dog to death.
How about we look for ways to start the 2004 year off to a fresh and new start and get this board more active.
As in the pasat I have tried to generate topics for conversation but we alwsya seem to be missing one vital piece. We rarley hear from providers. Last time I checked this was not jus a board for hobbyists but, providers also.
I know many have reframed from posting to not hurt their business. They too should be able to post their opinions, charge the price they feel is right and run their business the way they see fit.
I myself am looking forwwward to see a few more local ladies rather than traveling ladies since I am tired of dealing with agency issues. I prefer to deal with an independent lady. Funny thing is that based upon a recent survey, over 75% of providers also prefer independent ladies but still primarily see agency traveling ladies.
So how about some ways to Improve and make this board better!!
I have to say that I agree with a lot of what you wrote here for the first time... lol In the other debates (particularly pricing) I refrained from saying anything because I am generally not a confrontational person and go out of my way to avoid arguments....
I did however take a look at my own business and checked with my clients about the way I run things, and decided, along with their help, that I am doing things the right way and shouldn't change my rates, my service, or my personality (not that I could change the last one). Perhaps those postings were good ones considering I found out for sure that the most important people to me think that I am doing very well, and at least took the time to look at my own flaws - I know I'm not perfect for everyone, none of us are. All I can do is be the best provider I can be for the ones that choose to see me, and that means having accurate pictures along with good and discrete service, and I strive for that end.
As far as agency vs. independant - I retired after working for an agency for 3 months, I have been an independant now for almost 2 years - enough said!
