Both. I dont know if ill make any sense here, but ill give it a shot.
I like the selfies because, to me, they show the real girl, and that s beautiful and sexy. Professional photos are sexy but they're staged.  
When we see you lovely ladies its raw, low lights and real. To me self shot can be a little teaser and makes me want to see that.person even more

Someone new on the seen with pictures that look like they came out of a magazine, make me instantly think TGTBT and fake.  

Selfies, without a doubt.  Once I've seen the provider I enjoy studio shots but self taken gives me a true image.

A good professional photographer, well fitting garments, lighting, make up and posing can enhance the appearance of any lady (or gentleman for that manner).  Since at the end of the day we are all selling ourselves, putting on an idealized appearance helps to create positive image for your clients.  These are the images clients are likely to daydream or fantasize about.

But I like the pro ones without being edited. Where you can see what it looks like for real

Good selfies.  Pro photos are great, but often enhanced quite a bit.  Selfies show me the real you.  You decide what to show, how much to show, how much to tease, etc.  One caveat though.  The selfies should be of good, relatively clear quality.  Photos that are taken with some phones and low megapixel cameras are often not clear and do not present the lady in a good light so to speak.  I'm much more attracted to good quality photos of all types.  For right or wrong, I view the photos (pun intended) as an extension of the personality and the quality of the meeting I would get to enjoy.  Hope that helps.

Poorly done selfies can make the provider look less attractive than she actually is while there are a number of ways in which pro shots can be manipulated to give a misleading idea of what she looks like.

For so long, I'm very sick of taking them & more sick of having to look at my place as a background. So much so, that I haven't even posted on the photo board much anymore...but I really want to start again....
Since my selfies usually show some nudity- outdoor shots are not so easy- (but hey it's getting warmer so you never know)  
Anyway I'm finally getting some professional photo's and I'm so excited! As a matter of fact my shoot is this week so if anyone would like to visit to give me some posing tips that would be great.  
          I've always loved selfies & will probably always prefer ( & use) them, but there is room for professional too,
 & I believe there should be some on everyone's website.....those are my thoughts on this topic.

Unless you really want to see me in no makeup and wearing sneakers and gym clothes (and hey, that's great if you're into that kind of thing), you probably don't actually want to see me the way I would look if you ran into me at the grocery store. While I don't get my makeup professionally done for every appointment, I do dress up and get pretty. Professional pics are probably more accurate depictions of the way I look on the other side of the door.

I put nothing but my professional photos on my website. I have a live link to my twitter account in which Im always posting many selfies and cell phone photos to let you get to know more about my persona, and my fun nature.

...like selfies. Some look nice but my impression is cheap. Does not mean they have to have professional shots taken  though.

Gals. I have made this point before, but it is worth repeating. With all of the fake ads the best picture shows that you are not a fake pic but available locally and a safe choice. Stand by a local landmark wearing a Twins shirt making out with your girlfriend. You are legit and I am not too worried about you being LE.  

True ... There are ... I just wanted to point out that many of us do take great selfies that don't show messy homes.

Great photo shoot idea however just because the pic is taken by landmark ... that alone ... would not make me feel safe that its not le.

I rather look at self pics and if they can make it come out nice then it's better.

The business of being a service provider (for many of us) includes showcasing our assets to entice possible clients in booking.  
Guys are visual creatures. They like photos from pro to selfie. This board used to hate selfies, now the guys love them.  
I think it's a good idea to have all types of photos, selfies, pro shots or even shots your girlfriend takes of you.  

have become primarily selfies this past year and I have offered several….unedited and accurate.  I sometimes use pro shots from within the past couple of years because they are still accurate and I look the same.  My photos have never been altered from Day One except for the lightest finishing any good photographer will do.  All in all, I think it is a good idea to mix it up.

Selfies or pro pics, either or  
are new and updated pics of a provider.  
 
yes ladies make sure it is clean, but do not
keep posting pics of yourself that are 10-15 years old. (no one in general, Just Saying)
 
yes our looks change, but show who you are now!!  
clients deserve to see the new and improved us.  
 
Btw, Some of us do not age, and get better with time!!!

My kind of girl Mindy, I have not had the means to take selfies, meaning PC, phone problems and laziness, but on the other hand, the people I do have take pics of me are just friends, mostly not in the hobby at all and mostly, (not saying they don't have a good eye and don't want to make sure they take a good shot of me) but are by far amateurs and I only change the lighting or exposure, crop out my head or blur my face or add a butterfly haha or maybe put a different background on like a pattern because they may of been taken where I live , sometimes I put a blu tint on my butt LOL.  However, I would at least once in this hobby have some professional pictures done or by even someone like Ms. Good who is a wonderful photographer in her own right, but most of the time the reason I don't is a practical one, I just don't have the extra funds to spend, pathetic right? But true.  Anyway, one can dream and I know before I move on this time when-ever that is, I will have some pro pics, in the meantime, rest assured mine are the real deal and I have even had some clients take a few right in the moment as you may of seen on my website- no touch ups there believe me, what you see is what you get.  Soooo, any offers from for a free pro session? haha What I can say is that I never get tired of looking at your pics Mindy!! ...there are some very successful websites dedicated to selfies that celebrities take of themselves. It's a very popular and acceptable thing to do.
