Fairly new to the hobby, but catch on quick. Had this highly reviewed provider on my short list, saw the special for this weekend and pulled the trigger. Made the call, provided few references,set appt for Sunday morning. Got general area, agreed to call for location when about 15 minutes out.
Well you know the rest of the story, NCNS....sound familiar guys. Maybe too much Birthday cake the night before.
The roads sucked.... accidents, spin outs, slow driving but the commitment was made and I was going to hold up my end.
Things can happen, we all understand that...but to not communicate just doesn't get it! Waisted approx 2+ hrs of my day.
There is a good ending to the story though....did some grocery shopping, filled up the gas tank, and still have enough money left over to see a proven, reliable, and fun provider later tonight.
Ladies....I just don't understand this NO COMMUNICATION thing. I would think that you would like to build up a strong repeat business. IMHO I would think this would be the fastest way to sabotage that. There are just way too many reliable options out there for us guys!
I don't know about the other guys, but I would think most of the hobbyist have got better things to do with their time and money than to drive around, wondering what the hell their doing driving around.
You suggest that women who NCNS sabatoge their own business. Frankly, unless the men who get NCNS'd name names, the women's reputations don't get harmed at all. What's the point of going to the effort of telling all of us you got no showed, if you don't give us the details. I, for one, don't really need to hear about another NCNS, unless the names are included.
And, for all the white Knights out there, who think there might be a good reason, there is never a good reason to not make a simple phone call or text canceling an appointment. It takes about 20 seconds.
My priority for the post was to emphasize to the gals that a quick communication effort on their part goes a long way and no communication is flat out inconsiderate and will not help their efforts at all. I am not interested in personally thrashing any particular provider on this board, but if you would take the time and search back a few threads you'd see only one post of a birthday special for this weekend. That should answer your questions. If that's too difficult, PM me and I'll give you the information you're looking for.
The truth is some ladies will only learn the hard way and some won't learn at all. It's one thing to want to give the provider a chance to explain what happened. Bad things do happen and people do make mistakes. However, girls who have a habit of such behavior should be discussed openly IMHO.
I assume he is talking about TER ID: 75011 but I agree with you P4. What if there was another "birthday" post for a different provider being referenced? That provider's name gets tarnished too.
Being careful with my funds & time, the reviews & alerts are very important to me. If I commit, I don't want to waste either time or $. I would warn others if no response or "make good" was given due to a NCNS.
She sent me a text about 6 hours after the missed appt. Very apologetic and offerred an apology discount (probably saw the post). Not wanting to hold a grudge I decided to give it another try. Glad I did, she went the extra mile and made things right. Everyone deserves a second chance. Thanks Tayshin, we'll be in touch.
well that brings up a interesting question. I thought that one of the rules was NO bashing, a provider on the Boards? Does that include NO shows??? Just wondering
