I had a gal cancel ten minutes before we were to meet (outcall to me)
Her reason sounded legit (friend with emergency) but it made me feel so lonely.
Is it karma?  
I was looking forward to a first visit and hopefully many more...

It's happened to me and I'm sure everyone in the hobby on both sides.I wouldn't say karma but it is disappointing and a million doubts go through your mind and yes you feel lonely.So suck it up and call someone else if the need is there or give it another chance, if it continues my advice is walk away.

For someone whom I have a good record with, I'm usually pretty forgiving.  Less so if the person is someone I've never seen before or seen infrequently.  But either way, my patience only goes so far.

Just had the same excuse, after driving 70 miles to get to the lady.  Called when I got to her apartment to let her know I was there and someone else answered the phone.  Said her friend had an emergency and she forgot her phone at home.

Very common excuse. What ever happened - emergency or not - most ladies are simply not creative enough to think of anything else to say. Just chalk it up to experience.

I drove a half hour to see one 2 weeks ago.  Texted her from the car, no one answered the door.  She responded to no more emails.
