A buddy told me he has Canadian Viagra. Does anyone know the difference in quality between this an domestic V? I'm sure we have some takers out there, thanks!

Socialist Medicine Canada sets the prices for prescription drugs sold in Canada.  The drug manufacturers grit their teeth and sell in Canada even though they make zero to very little profit.  They do it so they don't loose world market share, and the fact that Canada only has 33 million people has something to do with it too.

If he has brand name Pfizer Viagra purchased in Canada than it's exactly the same stuff.

If it's sildenafil citrate (generic viagra) purchased from "Canadian Pharmacy" or one of the other online sites that sell without a prescription, then it was manufactured in India. I heard an interview of the owner on MPR one time. He said his product is manufactured in compliance with all laws of India and the other countries where he sells the stuff direct. Take that for what it's worth. I have used both brand Viagra and the generic, and the results were exactly the same.

Of course, it's not legal to buy the generic in the US. Pfizer spent huge bucks to lobby for a law change so its patent would remain in force for an extra decade. The $30 they get for one brand name pill, versus under $3 per pill for generic, is a clear indication of their profit margin. I have zero sympathy for poor Pfizer forced to grit its teeth and sell in Canada for a price that is slightly less outrageous.

When I bought generic it was shipped direct from India in an envelope marked "samples." Took about 10 days and I had to sign for it. Little bit nerve wracking but there were no problems. The only downside was the mass of email spam that followed the transaction.

60 Minutes did a piece on these generic meds. If you saw it, you would never take them again.

And I haven't had any problems. It came in the mail in an unmarked brown envelope, and yes I too had to sign for it.
More scare tactics and sensationalism by 60 Minutes, IMHO. Plus, who knows, maybe the CBS execs got free Viagra for spinning the story

I don't think he is talking about Counterfeits being smuggled into Canada.  That would not be a Canadian medication.

You can get a prescription filled in a Canadian Pharmacy.  I does take a prescription from a Canadian doctor, it is commonplace near the border that is should not be a problem to review your US prescription and issue you a Canadian prescription for the same drug.  Some will do this by mail, but I understand Canada is making this more difficult.

Prescriptions from a Canadian Pharmacy are every bit as good as from a US Pharmacy.  They just cost less.

And some of the people who have taken them have had serious health problems.

The url I used is no longer active. They change pretty often. But this one looks very similar, similar pricing, and if you read the faq, operation is the same.

Pay with a prepaid gift card in a different name and gave them an email account created for the purpose. You'll have to give them a real address, though, and sign for the package. Tell the postman it's addressed to your daughter's boyfriend or something. The email account will be spammed heavily after the transaction for several months. Some of the spamming will be offers of a discount for subsequent purchases, though, which will come in handy if you place a small order first, then a larger order after everything works and you are satisfied with the product.

There are no guarantees. The stuff won't be manufactured in compliance with every single FDIC requirement. Only try this if you are prepared to walk away with nothing. Sort of like when engaging in any proscribed activity.

I have been using them for over 4 years- getting the generic Cialis saving many $$. You can't get the generic in the USA. Bullshit.

I have never had a problem- you do need a real prescription.  They are legit.  Most of the generics come from Europe.
