I don’t think you should dwell on it and even if you do and figure out who she is, please just drop it. She is trying to protect you and herself from a potentially awkward situation, and also keep herself out of harms way.

I’ve never had to decline to meet someone because I literally KNEW them, but I’ve had to decline because they worked in a place that meant I could potentially run into them on an elevator.  

2 weeks ago I had a date with a gentleman and then ended up having to visit his company offices for a meeting to pitch our services to them. While it seems like the perfect set up for a sexy fantasy encounter, I was a bit nervous that we would run into each other.

I wouldn't care if an escort knew me or was even related to me in some manner.  After all it would be MAD (mutually assured destruction) if either of us ever let on to anyone else -- no worse risk that being exposed by an escort you don't know.
