Should I post my comments on random other boards when those comments were meant for OP's that appear on this board? Seems illogical but that may just be me.
I still wake up with my stomach tied in knots. My mood for the day is solemn & at times a feeling of sadness & despair overtakes me & tears well up as I so vividly see the images of that fatal day.
I still remember the following morning waiting for the bus as I was headed for work. The eerie sound of nothing. All flights were cancelled nationwide.
The Halloween night that followed I worked the night shift at the MOA. Rumor was terrorist threatened to bomb MOA that evening. Friends & family begged me to call in. I refused. Swearing no terrorists will EVER intimidate me into stopping my life! I recall hearing the engines of aircraft that night flying over the north food court. I looked up. It was dark by then & all I could see was the shadows of what were obviously fighter planes. We were lucky that day. Those planes turned out to be american demonstrating a "show of power."
Today I praise God. I give thanks to all the men & women that stepped up to do whatever they could to rescue & comfort the victims of 911. The first responders, firefighters, law enforcement, EMT's, civilians, & our military. Bless you! I pray for the survivors & the friends & families of the 3000+ that lost their lives. I wonder how their lives have been changed. How are they fairing today, etc... God bless you & comfort you!
I hope we can all take a moment today to remember. Maybe try to do a random kindness for someone you pass on the street. Even if it's as simply as a "Good morning! Have a good day!" You don't know what another human being is struggling with & that could save the day for them. Even their life!

9/11 is now the unofficial "Nationalism" day in the US of A. The mess that occurred on that day has directly led to an unending military campaign across the world.
