I've waited until after Veteran's Day for this comment but I find the excessive patriotism in the nation of late unsettling: "Service" alone is not reason enough for thanks. It's just a job with benefits, really good benefits.
It's a job that most (not all) take for all the wrong reasons. Most of us are not the brightest and the best (quite the contrary on average), just people with few other options. And I feel we shouldn't be given little gold stickers just for showing up.
Thanks to all who are serving and all who have served, including those who made the ultimate sacrifice. You and your families are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to report that not one response was from this board. At least one Veteran was able to share valuable info. I so hoped than Minneapolis would be a place I would want to come back..Unfortunately, other places are bringing me only some responses, and then they might mention their TER handle. Certainly not what I had hoped for. Stay warm this winter. Hopefully someone will see me before I am gone on Tuesday. I do know how to warm you up..
