I have lurked this board for quite awhile and I always find it interesting when a poster with no history makes unsubstantiated claims about a provider on the board...and then runs off in the sunset, leaving their work behind.

Personally, when I see posts like these I always question if they have merit or are just used to stir up the board and create issues for specific ladies. Perhaps the OP is a provider who considers certain returning ladies to be competition even if she is not. Or maybe it is a jealous client who does not want to share the returning lady, especially if she was exclusive to him and a small group while she was utr.

Similarly on these hearsay threads I always notice a few who will question the OP as a troll. However, there are those who respond in the opposite fashion even stating they will share the gossip via backchannel, basically perpetuating the OP's actions.

So what type are you? Are you the kind of person who questions the legitimacy of hearsay or believes anything you are told?

Kind of like bomb threats. The building gets evacuated "just in case." It's hugely unfair when someone stirs up the pot on a local board with no followup.

Let's use for example the thread below to show why it's good to question the validity of claims from random posters:

The OP comes on the board to state he was outed by a provider and due to fear of retaliation he does not want to provide her name here on the board. However, the OP goes on to describe said provider with the following description: returning provider, MN local, has been around for a few years, and had a Twitter account. Did I miss anything?

If the OP was so fearful of retaliation, why would "he" be so particular in his description, basically narrowing down his claims to one or two ladies? If his accusations are true and she is a threat, the OP would shit in his boots before being so descriptive of "her" on the board.

Personally, I fit that description to a T yet I have no clue who the OP is nor if my name is floating around backchannel gossip now simply because the description above also applies to me. So this is just something to think about when participating in hearsay drama created by one hit wonders.

While the topic in & of it's self is worthy of discussion, right now it just appears to be getting used as a means to further discredit the OP. I think he has done a fine job of that already all on his own. If you are not the provider in question & have done nothing questionable in your career as a provider, your name likely won't come up. Therefore, you have nothing to be worried about & reviving the OP that this idea stems from is merely continuing the drama, & beating a dead horse. Just my own lil 2cents.

...I believe she is more concerned with the hobbyist backchannel, which you typically wouldn't have any knowledge of.

This is a general thread about people creating backchannel without questioning the legitimacy of false accusations.

I used the previous thread as an example given it has caused backchannel gossip. You even said on that particular thread that you're open to sharing one-sided rumors via backchannel. So this thread is merely an attempt to discuss how people approach these types of posts.

The thread that should be pulled is the bs one below. Initially I thought it was a poor gentleman who was outed until I read each one of "his" posts. Then I realized who "it" was after reading "his"  comments that have basically started unfair backchannel about me. Why shouldn't I be able to mention this provider's actions on a thread that is simply about questioning the validity of claims made by one hit wonders.

One of the reasons I went utr and left TER was because of the harassment (yep, I've saved everyone of your stalker emails) but I wasn't able to speak up then due to voluntarily delisting (you can't post on the board in that case).

It's two years later and I despise drama, so I'd prefer to be left alone. I can go back to seeing just old friends or establish new ones via other means, but come on...it's two years later. Please give it a break.

And you can't defend "yourself" if nobody knows who "yourself" is. All I know is your self-serving rehashing of the topic has done nothing but put a dent in other local provider's business by keeping the fear alive in the back of hobbyist's minds. I despise drama as well so on that note, I am done with this thread.

With all due respect Leeann, the only providers who *might* be suffering a loss of business because of THIS issue are the select few who recently returned to TER after an absence - one of which is the OP.  And (alert the media) just about EVERYTHING on these boards is self-serving, including the two threads you recently started.  

FWIW, general consensus with the people I have been in contact with is what general consensus ALWAYS is in similar situations....i.e., that you have nothing to worry about if you aren't trying to be a providers boyfriend.

In any event, if you want to be mad at someone, be mad at Outtopasture - he's the one that started all of this.

The original thread is on page two, where people don't send much time.  The earlier second thread that was started was pulled because the original thread was still on page one.  The people who oversee this board have not said that the matter is closed so if someone else has something they want to say that will be seen by the larger community of this board, the only way to do it is start a new thread.  You are perfectly entitled to disagree and say so or ignore the tread as you see fit but I see no reason why it should be pulled.
