I have loads of experience and education in marketing that could prove beneficial.

First of all, this post is NOT any attempt to paint the ladies of this board as unrealistic in their price structure.  That has been...and should always be what they determine to be the best compensation for their time and related expenses involved.  It is the clients choice at that point.

Having said that, I will be the first to admit that my hobbying has slowed dramatically for many reasons, primarily, I'm not travelling as much as I used to and therefore, not having the opportunity to play like I used to.  Secondly, my biz is directly related to the amount of disposable income people have and therefore, my biz has been affected over the last couple of years.  Like the naughty lady already posted, you have to have your market pinned pretty well to stay as busy as you can.

I, for one, don't want the "market" rate for the providors to drop because as many that will make it cheaper for us to visit them, an equal amount of those lovelies will probably leave the game alltogether.

Would I enjoy "a deal" once in a while, sure, who wouldn't?  The problem is, it's a temporary fix, not the solution.

The only marketing tip I could offer may be if you have spectacular reviews (as you do), perhaps offer another level of service and find a nice hot gal to offer packages with.  It's no secret to what every man's fantasy is!

The best thing a lady can do is do the best job you can when you are being retained, keep your name out there and follow through with every detail from the initial call to the goodbye kiss.  Let your reputation keep you afloat until things improve.

Ooookay….there are a few givens:

One is truth in advertising via real photos and menus.  Another is to make it easier on the shopper by giving easy access to vital information such as availability, rates, and such.  I’m very interested on how we can improve.  Feedback and consumer surveys are good.  Yes?

Some thought-provokers:  Humor added?  Nudity in photos?  Wording/Euphemisms?  How about the length of the ad?  I’ve seen some fairly wordy ads and others where brevity ruled.  

How about marketing strategies?  Another given is your budgetary constraints and the encouragement of specials.  I’m personally interested in other ideas such as…..lets say my rate is 300.  What if I offer 5 sessions for the price of 4 with the caveat that you donate up-front at session number 1?  **Warning:  Do not consider this option if you’re TOFTTing.  LOL  I’m receptive to any and all other ideas.

As a side note……in your selection process, do you look at TER board presence as part of your selection criteria?  How do you use that information?  How about spelling, grammar, and punctuation?

I am fishing for ways for us to improve.  Constructive, but gentle criticisms are acceptable.  Telling us what you don’t like is constructive too.

For whatever it's worth:

(1) Real photos, good quality.  Cell-phone photos in the mirror in the bathroom?  Doesn't cut it.  And, those Web sites where you click on the tiny photo and it opens up on that photo with an equally tiny photo?  No good, either!  Let us see larger photos, good quality.

(2) A good number of photos.  I don't like P411 Web sites because they only seem to allow three.  More is better.

(3) Face photos?  Nice if they're there...but not a requirement for me.  I understand that many providers don't want to share these...and that's fine.

(4) Nudity in photos?  Nice in at least a few photos.  

(5) Good copy, esp. if it distinguishes you from others.  Everyone seems to want an "upscale, generous gentleman" and everyone seems to be "educated."  Everyone seems to "love what I do" and everyone seems to want to "release your tension."  OK.  Got it.  But, something beyond that that distinguishes you from others is good.

(6) Yes, spelling and grammar matter--at least to me.  It says that, if the lady is not diligent in how she presents herself on the "first look" place (her Web site or ads), then that may very well carry over into other things (punctuality, cleanliness, etc., etc.)?  If a lady is a poor speller, have her ask a friend to proofread her copy for her?

(7) Specials are nice...though not required.  What I DO get tired of is longer sessions having no discounts.  If a lady wants 300 for the first hour, I'd probably not see her if she wanted 600 for two; I'd look for someone who offered two for 450 or 500.  After all, two separate, one-hour sessions would bring in 600, but they'd require two separate "preparation" sessions: what I read is that some ladies take a good hour or more getting ready.  So, for a second hour tacked onto the first, why not give a better rate?  (I'm biased: I like longer sessions! )

(8) Bundling specials (five for price of four, etc.)?  Seems to me that it would only work with pretty well-established providers (and I judge you to be one of them, Cate...even though I've never seen you), and a level of trust.  I can imagine lots of hobbyists nervous about dropping that kind of $$$ with no "guarantee" of actual delivery of the goods down the road.

(9) Length of ad?  A couple of paragraphs, at most (not including standard stuff like rates, photos, etc.).  I don't want to have to wade into the weeds of an eight-paragraph ad.  You can add more on the Web site, but the ad should not drive me away with TMI.

(10) TER board presence is nice, but not necessary.  For me, good reviews are more determinative.

Hmmmmmmm......Ya know how some people watch the Super Bowl only for the commercials?  It is apparent that the marketing and advertising geniuses go all out for the occasion.

I'm looking to improve toward an end with that mind.  It's not that business is down, or anything of that nature.

Some of the responses are great so far.  I'm just looking for ideas that many of us just haven't thought to incorporate and/or are unaware.

It just hit me.......Perhaps we can talk TER into declaring a Super Bowl-type Provider ad day.  A day where providers can prepare their best shot at an ad on the same particular day (regardless of the 7-day rule) and post it.  That would be a bonanza for you men don'tcha think?

Don't think too much......just think hot and sexy. Think like a MAN. Do men like a WORDY woman? NO.....they want a hot pic, a few choice words, and your website has the DETAILS they need..... and they can look that up. That's what I think

It works great!    I get a large sum of money at the beginning of the month when my bills are due and the gents get an awesome rate!   Make sure you put some type of time constraints on it and not just # of visits.  Otherwise, you will have someone spread it out over a year.    Maybe do a weekly special.....1 hour,  3 wks in a row and the 1 hr on the 4th week is free or  something similar.

I don't like ads but I have read that the guys want to be able to find all the info they need in that ad.  They don't want to have to go to the site to find rates, availabilty, etc.

If you have a calendar on your website, keep it accurate.  If you are not available for a while, update your VM to say that; same for an email auto-response.

Beyond that, you've got some great advice already.

The first time the Narco's bumped me for selling...cookies...in college, I was sitting in drug court when this guy goes up to the judge at his pre-trial hearing, having been popped with 26 vials of crack in his pocket by an undercover, after selling vial number 27 to said undercover after loudly proclaiming that he had "work" (crack for sale)... and pleads not guilty.

Now this guy and me spent half a day in the same cell while we were in booking the day before and he never stopped talking; dumb ass punk ass wanna be gangsta shit bird was dumber than a pile of horse shit. I was fairly certain he had some kind of mental disability in fact, or was just plain crazy - Sling Blade...but he looks at the judge and says, "Yer honor, I don't sell drugs. Drugs sell themselves. I'm just a cashier." Whole fucking courtroom bursts out laughing, including the judge. Priceless.

It was funny because this crack baby's crack baby had barely formed a coherent sentance during the entire conversation and then he lays that gem on us, and they all knew it was true. Even this dumb fuck figured out; All you need to be a drug dealer is a supply, and a way to signal availability to your potential customers without attracting the attention of officer dickweed.

There is no salesmanship involved, no convincing, no pressure, no prodding, it's not like those public service commercials where the douche bag bad boy teenager looking like a Lost Boys reject goes "Hey kid, wanna try some drugs?" pfffft. If you got the goods, people are coming to find YOU, you ain't gotta move for nobody.

I would contend that pussy is a drug, of the most potent kind. But unlike illicit street drugs, it's customer base isn't limited to those with poor decision making skills and a downward trend in life. You have an automatic customer base provided to you by nature - you possess the drug of choice for every heterosexual man alive, whose need for it is insatiable from puberty until the day he can't get a hard on. You were born with the stash, and all you have to do is make it available. We seek it out. You need only be *visible*.

Superbowl ads? For what!?! Short and sweet - 'you can fuck me (or whatever else floats their boat that you're willing to offer) for $$$' is all it takes - granted, a bit more tact is useful considering the nature of the biz, but that's the nuts and bolt of it. *Bad pun SCORE*

No need for over thinking it, we don't need to be convinced or have our arms twisted. We want it, it's only a matter of how avaiiable it is to us (price, scheduling, etc.).

Quality is obviously an issue, dope fiends don't want weak cut, twice cooked, 85% baking soda and B12 dope or backyard bammer weed like johns don't want half assed covered blowjobs and smelly twat, so just maintain your rep like any good drug dealer would...er...I mean hooker and whatever portion of the market you make yourself available to will come and get served up.      

Keep your ad very simple, straight to the point, and with lots of pictures...Men are visual creatures and are drawn to pictures first and then price.  I would tend to error on too many pictures (hot ones would be better) and fewer words than you may think (but choice ones).

I can't tell you how many ads I see (usually from agencies) that have a long biography about favorite wine, favorite color, favorite movie, etc, etc...I skip over all this and scan right to the pictutes and then if there is interest, I look at the donation.  Most of us, (I know not all) just don't care about those things...But some hot pictures WILL peak our interest.

Take the time tho read it....even though it's a bit long! Don't push/try too hard. Let it sell itself. Don't over think it.
Pushiness is annoying. When we try too hard, it's obvious.

The message is simple, and the analogy.....a good one.  You've given a good foundation from which to start, and it is as simple as stated.

As utterly annoying, obnoxious, and thinned-skinned as he is, LIP has common sense beyond the vast majority of the board members, male and female.

Yes, you have the drug.  All you need is to make one good sale and you will get a customer for life, or until he can't get it up anymore, his wife finds out, or he gets divorced and starts getting regular civvie pussy.

So, to make the one good sale, don't cut the drug with baking soda.  Give the good stuff right away and the user will come back to you every time for his fix.  Keep giving him the good stuff.

Translation:   Give him a good service the first time.  If he likes a hard suck and fuck, suck his dick without a condom until he is ready for you and then climb on top and fuck him until neithe of you can breathe.  If he likes it slow and sensual, kiss him on the lips, then kiss him all over, then back to the lips as both of you move slowly to the main event.  Give him a long, sensual bbbj playing attention to the boys while looking him in the eye.

Do that, and you won't need to market.  The back channels will fill up your schedule with reliable, safe, clean guys.

Keep is simple, don't try too hard....you shouldn't have to beg a guy to come see you. You've already got the goods. Just show a simple hot pic and chill out on the wordage!!

Weed, crack, meth, percoset, are pretty much commodities.  Even reducing the oldest profession to the commodity level as pussy for sale, I would argue that unless any vagina is pretty much the same to a guy, then there are more than subtle differences between one provider and another for most of us.  Its not just a suck and fuck.  Its mental as much as it is physical, especially for us older dudes that need more than the visuals of a hot bod to get into the end-zone.  I've been to the red light districts of Amsterdam where its sold as a commodity, with set prices as though you were ordering at McDonalds.  Its not the same as spending an hour with someone like the OP of this thread.

I realize the mirror in the bathroom is a useful tool when it comes to taking self pics, but the stool in the background looks tacky to me.  I know it will be hard to get around the setting for ladies taking pics.  But we were asked for our opinion.  Sorry this is so late.    bigdell
