Your posts responding to DWarbucks over on the Ugly Mutt's Board were great! I responded to him privately, and got more of the "let go of your unjustified anger" B.S. back from him.

I don't know what motivated him. I used to read the Ohio TBD Board almost daily (because it also covered Indiana, where I often hobbied in the past). Warbucks always seemed to be a decent guy there. Heck, he would seem to be a decent guy on the MN Board, if you could forget the person / behavior his post is covering for.

I don't know what motivated him, especially to jump into a Board where I don't think he has ever posted before. I can only speculate there is some link with TBD or the new Moderator. Since no regular MN poster will say anything supportive of TBD, perhaps someone figured that bringing in a shill from Ohio would work.

In some ways, I find Warbucks post even more offensive than TBD's. For all his many faults, you could at least see TBD for what he was - a vindictive bully, coming after MGC because they hadn't kissed his butt in the past. Warbucks hides his offensive behavior behind a veneer of diplomacy and kindness. Truly makes me want to hurl.

I agree, Mountaineer -- good posts.  At least there's 'some' record of what happened on the TBD MN board.  My password wouldn't work on the TN or MN boards to voice concern.

I originally posted on the TN board wishing Mountaineer all the best when he bid farewell to his Tennessee friends in the event he lost his posting privilages.  Others were sad to see Mountaineer, a very helpful contributor to the TN board, leave as well.  TBD responded with the same belligerent attitude he demonstrated on the MN board.  Some of us were concerned with the manner in which TBD chose to attack Mountaineer.  Upon visiting the TBD MN board -- additional concerns surfaced.  The information we share and seek is compromised when freedom to voice a concern over the hobby/profession is denied or controlled.  TBD should know this.

Now, speaking of hurling -- Interesting comments by the TBD MN mod...

...the thread was removed NOT for the benefit of the board...but to REMOVE anything that could cause problems for the individuals involved.  (The ONLY person on the board causing problems for the individuals involved was TBD! The only person on the board breaking TBD rules was TBD!  EVEN those who've supported TBD in the past were shocked by his comments, myself included. Removing the thread did nothing to help the individuals involved -- the damage was already done).

...The MN moderator wants to restore order -- then says TBD's apology is SINCERE?!?!  (What a wonderful way to restore order -- just add more fuel to the fire!).  So much for diplomacy! Then he/she says TBD's decision NOT to post on his own board shows further INTENT to apologize?!?!?  (Letting a moderator explain what his intent is instead of doing it himself sure takes a lot of balls!  He should have considered NOT posting on 'his' board BEFORE he attacked providers/hobbyists on 'his' board/s, not AFTERWARDS.

... Since 'the people' are unhappy and continue to show concern for the ladies/agencies involved ... the moderator HIGHLY recommends this topic NOT be discussed further on ANY?!?!? board.  If this doesn't demonstrate how much TBD wants to cover this whole mess up -- nothing does!  What a convenient time for some of our passwords to quit working.  Thank goodness he/they can't delete comments on other boards.  The moderator should realize by now that people were (and remain) 'unhappy' because TBD turned into a mad dog going for the jugular of anyone and everyone questioning his abusive conduct.

After saying TBD's apology was sincere, that all doubting/questioning his apology/intent are wrong -- that NONE of us should discuss this issue on other boards ... the moderator wants us to believe he/she is and will ALWAYS be fair.  I'm having a really hard time being convinced.  Guess I just can't understand intent!

Changing moderators won't change what happened nor what WILL happen again given TBD's and his moderator's handling of this matter. It would seem to be in everyone's best interest, especially TBD's, to simply admit error and apologize for his unreasonable actions.  TBD touched a sensitive nerve with many hobbyists.  Blaming others for his mistake will only cause additional conflict.

I guess I prefer not to see a conspiracy unless it helps support my side of an argument.  :)

IMHO, Warbucks probably isn't a shill. More of a bootlick. He most likely decided to post of his own accord. Although if he's centered around Ohio, it is kinda weird.

Seems that our little tiff got some exposure far beyond our local 'community' (I love that word). Maybe our new mod is friends with some folks in Ohio.

And to be fair, I'm a big fan of diplomacy and kindness. I'm also a big fan of calling folks on their sh!t.

Everyone is still a little steamed right now, but let's give the new TBD mod a chance. There is a logic to his actions, particularly if he was brought on board to 'take control of an unruly situation'.

By removing the posts, the crap that was said is no longer readily available to any Tom, Harry, or Officer Dick that might be perusing the board (and yes, I do believe that LE is not only aware of TBD and other boards, I believe that they are regular readers of what we say on those public boards). That also means that the insults and crap that was hurled at MGC is gone, only remembered by those who saw it. And unless someone had the wherewithal to record it somewhere, it's not available as 'evidence' anymore (whether it could be allowed in the first place or not).

The new mod is there to take control of the situation. My personal feeling is that TBD couldn't handle us, so he basically pulled a Cartman ("screw you guys, I'm going home").

TBD behaved badly. We all know it. So far the new moderator has been polite, and has certainly given fair warning. It's hugely obvious now that TBD is not a fair and even-handed board, but it doesn't have to be. TBD owns the sandbox. He can make or break the rules as he sees fit.

Which is why there are other boards. :)

The problem is not the new Moderator, who seems a reasonable enough sort. If TBD had installed him / her BEFORE March 3rd, and had not posted his vile and hurtful lies, that would have been a great thing, and I believe I would have enjoyed the new environment.

But after what TBD did, I will not support anything that helps put money in TBD's pocket. I don't care how well moderated the Baord my now be. Heck, there are other TBD Boards that I think have always been pretty well moderated, but I won't touch those either.

And I can't point a finger at the new Mod., but SOMEBODY is encouraging outsiders and / or shills to post on the MN Board. Search the message base - most of the posters in the last week have NEVER posted on the MN Board before. They have either appeared there suddenly or dropped in non-coincidentally at this time from elsewhere.

Greetings Kahuna,

"It's hugely obvious now that TBD is not a fair and even-handed board, but it doesn't have to be. TBD owns the sandbox. He can make or break the rules as he sees fit."

I agree, given the recent conduct of TBD, that TBD is not to be considered a fair and even-handed board.  But, by supporting the new mod, do we encourage additional attacks?  All TBD has to do is jump in on a board and destroy whomever (competition? providers? hobbyists?) then delete the threads and have a professional moderator come in to restore civility to the board -- AFTER the damage has been done.

"TBD behaved badly. We all know it."  So does the new moderator!  Yet, he/she adds additional conflict to the board by not remaining neutral.  Any reasonable person reading all of the posts would come to the same conclusion as you did, the moderator is no exception.  TBD sent a serious signal to all participating on his boards -- do it his way or else.  The new mod is paid to do the same thing.

The new mod is *paid*? Cripes.

I'm not saying that the mod isn't gonna do things TBD's way, I'm just saying that I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and see what happens. At this point, I think he's just doing his job.

As for the bunch of new folks posting-- I suspect that many of them are not from around here.

As I've said a couple of times before, I have lost all trust in TBD.  With the greatest mod in the world the whole board is still controlled by TBD at the top.  TBD still has full access to all boards and information on all posters and lurkers.  I don't trust him.  I don't know what he'll do next.

From my standpoint the TBD site is dangerous and I'll keep my distance and stick with either TER or another board.  It ain't worth the risk.

TBD said he was hiring someone to coordinate and run the public message board system -- It's fair to say moderators are compensated for their time.  I know I wouldn't put up with the hassle of running a board for free; not when TBD is probably going to be the wealthiest and most powerful (scary thought in light of his recent attitude) individual in the adult industry.  I received an e-mail today saying he was like Microsoft; has too big a head start.

I was a member and contributed to TBD before he even started his pay site.  Now, I won't send him another dime.  I've seen some bad scenes on the boards, especially the Atlanta board -- but none compare to TBD's.  I wonder how long it will be before my password will work, lol.

My suggestion is to join and support other boards, even if we choose to post on TBD.  We've seen how easy it is for TBD to destroy reputations with innuendoes.  The ladies who've earned and deserve our respect can be ruined in a heartbeat if so desired.

Now, I don't fault you or anyone for giving the new moderator the benefit of the doubt.  Time will tell how well the moderator is being paid, lol.  And for what it's worth ... I hope I'm wrong!  If not, I can assure you I'd take no delight whatsoever in using TBD's words, "I told you so!"  None win when all lose.

Take care,

T
