A shout out and "thanx" to vorlon/and others, for his/thier acknowledgement of what this day, this holiday weekend is truly all about. You are most welcome. This USN 1st Lt. is much appreciative. Hope your holiday weekend is enjoyable & peaceful.

The Troops

It is the Troops, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the Troops, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the Troops, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the Troops, not the campus organizer,
who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the Troops, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the Troops,
who salutes the flag,
who serves under the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag.

God Bless the Troops
1776 - 2010..........and Beyond

I have about a dozen friends in various services, some were deployed to active duty in the Mideast (and they all came out okay thankfully), and they are warriors through-and-through.  They make my bad days in the meeting rooms look like elementary school recess.  I have a hard time complaining about my bad day around them when their bad day involved IEDs or worse.

They're good sports and give me shit about it.  Love em.  Every day is memorial/veteran's day.

(And, thanks for the dedication, Drumsticks, my friends will like it)

Thanks to all who remember...Capt./USAF..long since out!
