I hate that it takes so long and so much work to get a same day appointment.

you might want to try picking up the phone if you're looking for something same day.  Not everyone is attached to the hip with their email.

Might have spooked her out if you sent that many emails over a period of 90 minutes.

I can sympathize with you here!  I've spent hours just trying to make a simple appointment with no success and ultimately just giving up.  It really shouldn't be that hard.

Many of the girls that "prefer contact via email" won't give a phone number, which is a recipe for impossible delays and hours between correspondences, which makes the process of making a shorter notice appointment virtually impossible.  Whoever said that email only makes any logical sense anyway?

I'd say that on average, in my experience approximately 7 out of 10 phone calls I personally have made go unanswered. So....that is not the answer either

Maybe there is a business opportunity here.... start up a service doing scheduling for the providers.  This way, people could actually get through without struggle, actually make an appointment, and get some basic questions answered.

I'm just saying....time is money and it seems like we are all wasting a lot of the former....

Sometimes you expend so much energy just putting something together, you've lost the mood by the time you do. That's happened to me. At a certain point, I just say, "Ah, forget it!"

But sometimes you hit that seam and schedules mesh, and almost as soon as you form the thought you're in your car on an adventure, off to get some.

Hang in there.

....I mean even I'm really good at responding to emails pretty promptly but jeez dude.  90mins is a long time to wait for a response.....really?

She should be super glad she doesn't have a phone number plastered everywhere.... I shudder at the thought.

1 or 2 emails within 90mins i get....but anymore than that you're going to seem unreasonable and pushy.

but sometimes that means that the lady will increase her rates just slightly to cover the extra expense.   If guys were not always complaining about the rates, maybe more ladies would do this.

Also, sometimes the ladies would rather be busy than seeing that particular guy but they don't know how to politely turn someone down so instead they just don't answer the phone and emails.  Not saying that happened with Riley but one never knows.  And, sometimes when a girl does turn a guy down politely, they write back, insisting on a reason.  Why not just accept the "not a good fit" reason?    I am a firm believer that I don't have to give a reason for saying "thanks but no thanks".

Riley happened to be looking for someone the day after a holiday.  Lots of ladies are with SO's and family on the holidays and days around one.  Again, not sure this happened in this case but you never know.

Just my .02 cents.

and I'm swamped!  It's almost impossible to do same-day appointments.  It occasionally happens, but that is rare.  The holiday week is the hardest, though.

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you this time.
