Somebody preferably a provider define for me what providers are looking for in their ads looking for upscale gentleman.

The way I read some ads whether they be website, CL, cityvibe or whatever, it seems like some providers are using the term "upscale" to look only for clientele like lawyers, doctors, for example.
Neither of which I am personally but I am not white trash either...I have also been with providers who advertise as such that are definitely not upscale in appearance, location or anything else. Not that any of those encounters were negative, and I have repeated with some of them but the term is just being misused IMHO.

Clean, dressed nicely & good manners.  It doesn't matter what your actual occupation is, just what you look & act like when you arrive at my door

Jen, I wish you were right, but, IMO, then intent in the ad has more to do with how much you are willing to pay.

I've only been doing this a coupla years, so I'm no old pro....  on second thought, I guess I am  *Giggle*  but-

If it means "how much you are willing to pay", some of the girls using that term are only asking 50-80 roses.

I'm confused, but that's nothing new.  How can they expect to date an "upscale gentleman" and have him bring 80 roses?  she asks blondely...

The way I have observed this is based on whom is posting the ad.

Examples:

For the lady that is asking 50-80 as was mentioned is a couple of post, they are looking for gentlemen upscale to the streets.  IE have a job, not selling drugs or beating down street kids for a rock.

For the next step up on CL, BP, VC and other sites where many of the ladies are working together.  They want the guys that can afford 100-200 and not ask stupid questions to expose the hobby.

Next step up is Indy ladies....please don't bargain hunt and negotiate.  Be respectful and dress to the location in which you are traveling.

Next step are the upper level ladies asking 500 plus per hour.  That group I truly believe is looking for the doctors and lawyers.

My view on the question posed and the way I percieve it when seen.

I've never noticed any low-cost providers advertising for upscale gentleman (and I'm not saying there aren't any, just that I've never seen those ads).  I think Giamarie's definitions are what most providers mean when using that expression.

I have seen "for upscale gentlemen" used on a variety of ads, some bargain level and high end so it is just interesting to see the consensus opinion. I would never consider going to a providers place unshowered and clean, unshaved yes (that's just my nature to not shave everday and have not rcvd complaints.) unless it is someone I have seen before or they have a shower available for before/after. I'm sure other hobbyists on this board will agree, but personally I am as generous as able, on occasion bargain shopping ,but depends on mood and whats available.

I agree with the other replies. I would not hesitate to contact a provider who caters to "upscale gentelmen." I am not wealthy by any means, but I do make a good living and I have seen providers for upscale and have gotten along great. I think what they are looking for is a clean, descent person, and also does have the ability to pay, so they won't get stiffed (pun intended ) on the donation. Good luck.

They just want a mature, clean, respectful, and some what intelligent gentleman.  It has nothing to do with your job or profession.  Of course you must be able to afford there time.

A more fitting mystery to humanity since the invention of coded terminology is, "Why Roses"?  Why not Petunias, Daffodils, Goldenrods, or (more fitting to Minnesotan's, Ladyslippers?) Who knows why Ladyslippers is fitting? (Triva time)

Now there is a question for Deliah to answer blondely?  Others may chime in also to help solve this complexing issue?  LOL

I thought everyone knew why  they use roses and not any of those other flowers, silly man!

Yes Delilah, 'roses' is (or should that be 'are'?), easier to spell quite blondely.  But think how unique an advertisement would look if it stated '150 dafidils', '200 petunias', '225 ladyslippers' (Yes Drumsticks, you win the trivia contest), 250 Tulips (Thanks Peaceful Soul), or for the CL crowd, '75 dandelions'.  

And Belinda, maybe it's time for everyone here to think outside of the ummmm, well....ummmm, .... 'the square'? Hee-Hee

I'm kind of partial to geraniums myself.  But I think I can figure it out no matter what flower they use.
