Am considering touring Detroit Michigan mid Mar.

I was wondering what are some possible good hotel/ areas I should be looking at. Much appreciated.

The Super 8 in Clawson has recently been renovated. The rooms are nice with fridge, microwave, safe, and internet access. The rate is very reasonable, $59 per night or $254 per week. It's located a few miles from I-75.

Really depends on the location you want to be in. Detroit itself has few nice hotels but the surrounding area has tons. What are you looking for?

I am not sure. A safe and convenient area to escort in.

Be very careful in Troy and Southfield...as well as Detroit area in general.
If you are diligent in your safety practices you will be fine though.

Also stay in a suburb and not in the city...

There are some very nice hotels near Detroit Metro Airport, which is located in Romulus.  A couple other good areas to visit would be Livonia or Novi.

I agree with Cocos comments regarding the Troy and Southfield areas.  Seems they get overly busy at times.

Depending on the amount you want to spend on the room we have the most upscale locations directly  in detroit in the downtown area near the casinos or you have the surrounding areas, and as someone already stated there is troy and southfield and the ann arbor area. All not too far from detroit oh and the metro airport area. Let me know the specifics and I will get you some specifics like names and almost exact locations so you can research them better. A little less work for you
