Hello! I am looking for advice from providers and hobbyist on best location to stay in Detroit. I am looking for all aspects of safety and convenience. Also please let me know of any place to avoid.

I used to live in Detroit and travel there pretty regularly. Sometimes do some hobbying. Providers and hobbyists who live there might have a more complete perspective, but no one replied to this so I decided to jump in. This Michigan board can be sort of dead for days or even weeks at a time.

The preferred places for visitng providers seem to be Novi and Troy. Girls also stay in Southfield or Livonia sometimes. I think those are all fine. They all have a good number of nice properties, are relatively easy to get to on the freeways, and are fine in terms of safety and local amenities.

Not many girls stay downtown. Although there's a lot more going on there and it's much safer than it was just a few years ago, there just aren't as many mongers living or working down there who would be looking for a girl in your price range as there are in the suburbs.

Detroit could use more well-reviewed touring providers coming through. Hope you have a great trip.

If you are also looking to reach out to the west side, Livonia or the airport will work well for an overnight.  Then you can draw from the Metro Detroit area and points west up to Ann Arbor. Troy helps with Detroit's Central and East side.

Troy, Bloomfield, or Auburn Hills works best for me, but I know others would say Southfield or Novi.
