Ok, I am not losing my mind. In recent weeks I have tried this on another one of my boards the discussions/views have increased. In light of this I've decided that till the end of this upcoming week(Saturday 25th of March till Friday March 30th) anyone who responds to this thread* ... will be unmoderated. This is for all users ... Hobbyists & Providers.

Doesn't matter if youve been registered for 1 day or 1 year, if your moderated & want to be unmoderated just respond to this thread & you will be. This is no indication that after Friday or even during this week ... the normal method of unmoderation will not be maintained. This is just something I thought would be neat to try out to give everyone (frequent posters & lurkers) the chance to actively talk in a discussion before its no longer "new".

*Now a few rules to this:
1. You will not be unmoderated if you were moderated for any of the following reasons:
A. User is banned
B. Moderated for violating rules(offenses older than 1 month will be waived, so long as it was not a major offense)
C. Moderated by "Staff", or another TER Moderator (I know who is local & who is not, so if you come from another town you wont be getting unmoderated by me.)

NOW, I will be watching the users who get unmoderated & the boards more closely in general to watch for offenses. If you violate TER rules & are re-moderated then you have only yourself to blame. TER Rules are posted on the Newbies board, Info Board & are posted by me reguarly. Be sure to read the Newbies FAQ & use simple logic before posting.

Ladies who get umoderated, PLEASE ... PLEASE REMEMBER: YOU ARE ALLOWED ONLY 1 AD A WEEK!. Posting more than this or causing drama/problems will get you re-moderated.

Hopefully we will be welcoming more active/lively discussions on the board, in addition to the great crowd we already have.

I hope everyone has a great new week.... take care,
pluged

For some reason, I'm currently moderated.  I wasn't previously.  Please, restore me to unmoderated status.

Thanks,
HP

Ya know, I *was* unmoderated, but recently made an ad post under my one week allotment due to a canceallation (in LA)...my bad I know, and GND pointed it out to me.  My posting history (I thought) was strong enough to show that I don't abuse the privlege of ad posting and am not about drama...hell, I don't even put links up when I'm responding to general discussions, yet I'm back to being moderated.  As a paid member, it's a bit frustrating...

Not sure if I'm getting a slap on the wrist for a few weeks, or what, but the point is well taken.

Having a moderated status definately keeps me from joining in on general discussions due to the length of time it takes for some comments to get posted...what good are my thoughts when the thread might be dead and gone by the time I'm added to it?

Again, not sure how long I'm being punished, but certainly I won't be renewing my membership if I am still moderated when my membership expires...not trying to give altimatums, just expressing my frustrations...

Yes, until policy is stated otherwise.  However, as a general rule, most information should be either shared on the board or backchanneled via PM.

Megan,

I just wanted to point out that VIP membership (paid or earned) and the ability to post unmoderated on discussion boards are not related in any way.  The only correlation between VIP membership and posting privileges is that only VIP members may use aliases to post.

In general, moderators do not place TER members on moderated status as 'punishment'.  It is simply done to help ensure that the TER posting guidelines are followed.  It's actually a lot more work for moderators if every post must be approved prior to appearing on the discussion board.

I am not aware of either your recent infraction or your posting history (although I plan to do some catch-up reading on the board).  As far as I'm concerned, you have a fresh slate, and I am looking forward to your contributions on the board.

Gosh! If I have a backup guy to keep an eye on my board I could devote 100% of my time to the moderators board - lol!

Riley,

As pluged stated in his post, we will not unmoderate users who are not local or who have been moderated by other moderators.  You need to request unmoderation from the moderator of the Florida board.

Regarding your ad posts, they are not being approved because they do not meet the ad posting guidelines.  Please read them - a link is provided below.

Thanks,

FOR SOME REASON WE HAVE BEEN ON THE MODERATED LIST FRO ALMOST A YEAR,  AND DO NOT KNOW WHY.  IF POSSIBLE IT WOULD BE NICE TO BE ABLE TO POST WITH OUT WAITING 1 TO 2 DAYS BEFORE THE POST APPEARS. WE WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.

THANK YOU.
