Thank you Alexandra and everyone else who replied. I guess I am going to have to get 2 references somehow. FWI you are gorgeous and maybe by your next visit to the D I'd be able to see U. Have a nice trip 
I require two references, and if you don't have them, I do offer a screening option without references, but it does require work information. I'm not sure what gentleman think I do with that information other than simply use it to verify your identity. I'm a top notch provider and would not be so highly regarded or have such great reviews if I were misusing the information in any way. It's ONLY so that I can feel safe and comfortable. I don't want to be in a room with a convicted murderer or pedophile...
When I call (or Date-Check calls) they simply verify that you're employed. Akin to when you apply for a car loan or a home loan. No one knows what it's really for!
Meet and greet meetings at a coffee shop do absolutely nothing. Of course no one is going to bring their knife, ropes and duct tape to a public place meeting. Absolutely he'll be on his best behavior in public...and do you really want to pay me $500 an hour to drink coffee? My time is paid time, no matter where it is or what we're doing. It tells me nothing of how someone will behave in private behind closed doors.
You shouldn't just give out your information to anyone, however, if it's a highly rated companion she's just making sure neither of you are going to get busted, and she just wants to know who's on the other side of the door. Nothing more. Stick with ladies that are well reviewed and well rated that offer a screening option without references and you'll have no issues.
You should be far more worried about a lady that is willing to see you without references or any kind of screening information...that screams LE trap...
