I don't think so really. Livonia is more on the west side of Metro Detroit whereas the others are near the east side. It has been my experience that most people live in the Metro area so downtown Detroit isn't quite as desirable in terms of location.

dearborn is good to  lansing ann arbor any of the ones you mentioned except detroit not many good locations  in detroit where people feel safe
