Is this (link) a legitimate business and are the pictures representative?

If I crossed into Mexico by foot at 10 am and came back at 2 pm or so, what would the lines be like?

Are the parking lots safe on the US side?

Is this adventure to Mexico reasonably safe?

They are legit, but I've personally have had to do some more extra work than I would like in attempting to schedule with them.  Maybe the situation is not all on them: I usually schedule a day or two in advance, but lately I've been squeezed for time, and they are a new company which I am trying.

I like to go in Mexico between 9 am and 11 am, so I could be in line before the afternoon rush.  I think the first time: I went in line between 1 pm and 2 pm on a Thursday: by that time, the wait was three hours.  Most of the time when I am in line before noon, it is less than a half-hour wait to go back in the US.  On average, I would say that my waits have been around an hour.  If the lines are long, some guys might try to swindle you to hop in a van which they say is only a "fifteen minutes wait."  The vans are more like a half-hour or forty-five minutes, but sitting in a van for a half-hour still might be better than standing in line for two hours.

I always park in the lots which are maybe only the length of a football field away from the border entrance.  I've never had a problem with leaving my car for only a few hours.  While the parking lots don't have an active security patrol, most of the ones I've seen have some forms of security, e.g., fencing around the perimeter or a gate.

I've only gone to Mexico during broad daylight but have never had any problems as an American.  Lots of people will attempt to pitch you their products or services, but I've never had people brush against me and attempt to pick my pockets.  The worst part of my Mexico trips is re-entering the US, when the Border Patrol always has to ask questions about what you were doing, etc.

I get that question all rhe time on re-entry, "What was your business in Mexico, Sir?" I have a flat asnswer, " I was visiting a friend." You should see some of the looks I get. LoL

Hot Tijuana dot net is one of the three top tier escort agencies.  It has been in business for years and is a reputable agency.  The pictures are not current but representative; for current pictures check out the agency website.

Going to Tijuana is safe.  Very safe.  Although at night one should use a cab instead of walking to the border.  One should take precautions one would take anywhere in the world, like avoiding dark, narrow alleys—especially at night.  The biggest danger you face in Tj is tripping over poorly maintained sidewalks.

Parking in one of the paid lots in the US or in TJ is also safe.  (Avoid street parking on either side of the border; I had a parked on the street in the US car stolen once while visiting TJ.)

My recommendation is to avoid TJ escort agencies and websites with second tier escorts.  Websites (including CL) with independents are YMMV.  The top tier agencies (in alphabetical order) are cumintj dot com, hot tijuana dot net, and Mexico Lindo Bar dot com.  With the top tier agencies things seldom go wrong.  Expect a real GFE, not what US escorts typically provide.

There is seldom a delay entering Mexico as a pedestrian.  The time it takes to returning as a pedestrian (without a SENTRI pass or even ID for the Ready Lane) depends on the day of the week, time of day, and season of the year.  

Retuning on foot on weekends, especially on Sundays and holidays, takes longer than during the week.  Crossing during the summer tourist season and the X-mass shopping season takes longer than most other times of the year.

The best time to cross is fairly late at night.  After 7-8 pm things are better than during commuter hours.  Returning to the US on foot around 2pm on a weekday during the non-tourist season expect a wait of 1 to 1.5 hours.  That being said, predicting crossing times is a lot like predicting who is going to win a NFL game:  on any given day anything can happen.

The anticipation is killing me! I love it. I'm debating between choosing Frida, Lucera, or Rebeca. Any advice on whether I take the trolley or my rental from the Gaslamp area to San Ysidra?

It depends on the time of day--and you.  During workers hours the trolly can get full.  I'd rather drive--even in commuter hours--than I would stand on the trolley.  

Commuter hours are not just limited to office workers, but also to kids who lie about living in San Diego/Nat'l city when they actually live in TJ. When school starts and lets out they fill the trolley.  Of course, around 3pm they will be going south while you will be going north.  

If you can get on the trolley by 3pm you will probably get a seat.  Later who knows.  

Late at night the trolley stops running every 15 minutes.  When that happens I would rather drive

Thanks Burt,  I plan on heading south by 8 AM and should easily be heading north by 2PM. I'm a little concerned with the directions I'm getting from Tania but all will probably clear up once I'm there.

The lines just depends on the day & amount of people crossing over.

Safe is a loose term.  Your car can get jacked anywhere, and people get robbed everyday not just in TJ.
